The problem with Mullen, which we know with certainty now, is that he either does not or cannot recruit.

He would have been a bad fit here.

His quirky personality and his loyalty to the wrong assistants would have eventually got him fired here too.

I’m happy with Heupel.

Oh, no doubt. He likely would have schemed some stuff up early on that might have helped us overachieve, but ultimately he would not have recruited. If he wasn't/couldn't recruit at UF, he sure as hell wasn't going to recruit anyone here.

Mullen should go to the NFL, but based on his performance/behavior at UF he might not be able to get the respect of pros.

I am truly baffled at how quickly this one turned…dude was what I would have considered extremely successful at UF until about 1/3 if the way through this season…now he’s fired…it’s just crazy how quickly that escalated
