I’d be curious to know why not. Florida looks like it’s about to be Florida again. Lucky us. I seriously wish Tennessee would leave the sec. We are an embarrassment. Just think how much fun competing in UABs conference….whatever it’s called would be. Football at Tennessee is done barring a miracle. Look how mullin is doing, Kiffin gives Alabama all it wanted last year, and Pittman? Impressive. Kirby getting it done in jawja. Depression ain’t the word.

Contacted about what? The head coaching job in November 2017? That’s categorically false, he had conversations with John Currie but was always going to wait and see how the search in Gainesville unfolded. Once Chip Kelly passed on the job and it was evident that Scott Frost wasn’t taking it, they turned their attention to Mullen.

. Tennessee should join the ACC they are much more of a basketball school now than football

If sharky can win at Floriday, anybody can! Shoot, even Zook did well.

However, Mullen is a good coach.

Pretty sure the FOIA’s done on Currie’s phone also listed texts with Sexton regarding Mullen as well. OP drinking tonight.

Mullen held the Richardson kid out tonight so that he’d have him for Tennessee & rest of the season. Even losing to Bama today , everything is still in front of them. They’ll be very ready to play Saturday.

He did engage in preliminary talks with then-AD John Currie in 2017. And do you know what the word "litigate" means? That was an odd choice of words.

He was never coming here once the Florida job was his to take. Now if Chip Kelly hadn’t turned the job Or if McElwain hadn’t self destructed in only his third season, then maybe Mullen would have ended up in Knoxville.

Mullen won 2 NC as an OC in Florida. Our AD is the same AD that recruited Mullen while at MSU. Tebow and Mullen are close friends. Essentially all the stars aligned. Mullen going to UT would make zero sense. Mullen "engaged" with UT just to up his price at UF. That is it.

No one is saying that he was coming here over UF. Once the UF job became a distinct possibility he shut off all contact with UT.
