Our second coach in 2 years just left us 3 weeks before signing day. We would have embraced anybody we had heard of before.
True but he does have a point. Still though, Muschamp is a leap for UF, I would have expected them to go hire someone with some HC experience. Spurrior had his Duke resume, Zook had nothing and it showed, granted Zook hasn't been the worst HC I've ever seen up there in Illinois but he's average at best. Meyer as we all know had his stints at BGU and Utah. I have no idea how quickly Muschamp will acclimate to being a HC, for some guys it seems easy (See Also: Bob Stoops) and for others it is a miserable failure (Ed Orgeron). Ultimately we are going to have to wait and see but Al Golden is certainly the safer of the two hires.
