So Muschamp is showing off his classy upbringing and debonair social graces. The man is is a walking embarrassment, a cliche of the football coach as a low-brow cave man.

Wonder what the Gamecock boards are saying about this guy. Are they excited at all the winning they expect him to bring? Enjoying his 8th grade humor and grace? What could they be thinking right now?

Look for yourself. There is one thread entitled "Muschamp Will Win and Win Big At South Carolina." They call him "Coach Boom" or simply "Boom" and believe he will orchestrate elite defenses despite the fact that he no longer has the Florida recruiting base to dip into.

Thanks, William. So about as expected. Meh, guess I'd have to be at least a little self-delusional and hopeful if I were in their boat, too.

Will will suffice :)

And you are welcome.

I think some of them are grounded in reality, but many are convinced that they have the talent to win the SEC and soon. I do not see that happening. Muschamp will likely improve their defense, but I doubt their offense has the firepower to keep up this year. The loss of their top LB to injury, and their best offensive weapons is going to hurt.

I watched the video and it wasn't as bad as it sounds. I think Muschamp was just making a poor joke. Dabo handled it well.

That's just it though. I would have to be really good friends with someone to "joke" like this about their wife and even then I would tread carefully!

This may be a age thing. Sarcasm is a hallmark of GenX, of which I'm sure Muschamp is member. It's how people of that generation communicate. I think it causes a lot of problems when GenX communication falls on the ears of older folks, who were raised to "don't be a smart ass", and younger folks, who are being raised to maintain hypersensitivity towards anything that may be interpreted as offensive or mean spirited. Muschamp = a man of his time.

Serious question here: Does Will Muschamp have a mental illness? If so, should we stop making fun of him?

Well he's probably popped a couple of blood vessels in his forehead and neck area, so there is a good chance that large portions of his brain are routinely going without the proper amount of oxygen for extended periods of time. And to answer your question, no.
