Museum shooter: no birth certificate for Obama

Thanks droski but that's not the one. The one I'm thinking of had more of the classic "cowboy cactus" shape blown into the base.

I'll have to try some of that Milagro though. The 4th is coming up and I always like to show up with something different.

i bought the one you are talking about. i believe it's a differenty type of tequila. the cactus is smaller.

Did you have lunch out there? They have some of the best chicken salad on the planet.

More like dinner - not a fan of chicken salad so I'm sure if it were offered I would have passed.

Honestly, I don't remember what I ate but it was a private tour and the bar was open as they say.

When I got back to the Hyatt, I sat at the bar and sampled more WR - I would have stopped but I was watching the 5 or 6 OT game between the Vols and Razorbacks and as any good fan would, I kept drinking until the deed was done!

The last couple of years have seen me extend the consuming far beyond "when the deed was done".

The 2007 UF game forced my dad and I down a bottle of Glenlivet and cry on each others shoulders.

I get pissy with purists...

I'll usually drink the first glass of a nice bottle straight, the subsequent ones I'll usually drink on the rocks.

Just my tradition, I suppose... I want to enjoy each one individually as they're bottled first.

I'm by no means a purist and would openly welcome a slap in the face if anyone ever heard me say anything about "masking the flavor" but I will say that I used to drink it on the rocks but I found myself not enjoying the second half of the drink. I didn't like that there was no bite to at all once the water started to get to it.

I love scotch. Brandy, not so much.

Which type of scotch is the preference? Highland, Lowland, Speyside, other?

I got the chance to tour the Glen Ord distillery while over there once. Quite enjoyable. In fact I really liked most everything about my time in Scotland.

No, I just enjoy 3 or 4 good shots of quality liquor before bed. It helps me get my 3 hours of sleep per night.

If you haven't, try some nice strong palinka sometime. I don't know what the importation laws are (since it comes from Eastern Europe) but it's made from pretty much anything that can ferment and is anywhere from 84 to 172 proof.

And then you will know why I cannot tolerate alcohol any more.

My last trip to Lex included a tour of the Labrot and Graham Distillery - I became an instant WR fan.

It is very dependable and affordable. I have taken a liking to Woodford Reserve, but for some reason cannot consume it in equitable quantities without undesirable consequences.

have either of you tried Bullet Bourbon

Hey hat...did joevol ever show up at any of those places you mentioned you'd be at Friday? :)

I wondered that myself Blamie.
I love how this thread took a booze route. Put me down as the whiskey/scotch guy

What do you think?

Yeah...I pretty much figured that

I was at Tomato Head about the same time you said you'd be at Cafe 4...

I remember thinking how funny it would be to see two guys fighting at the far end of Market Square...knowing it would have probably been you two if that were the case :)

Just a side note, the lakers just won the title. Tequila shots are great, but it's frustrating when people put good tequila in a margarita. If anybody gas ever been to puerto nuevo, near rosarito beach mexico, sandras used to have pretty good home made tequila. It sounds like there are a lot more options in downtown fir drinking now, any top suggestions for ucla weekend?
