Strangely, I'm seeing a much smoother platform with no evidence of bots on my feed. He's screwing them all up left and right. You might like the temporary political fodder, but estimate are that Twitter went from a $44 billion valuation right before he bought it and took over to $13 billion now. Users report all sorts of problems and bugs. Amd everyone who had a clue left or was fired.
So yay he made a $30 billion statement.
It's amazing how these people keep forming opinions with literally zero information. Motivated by hate and anger. Real winners!
He has always been open about his politics. Until the twitter plane tracking it didnt interfere with HIS choices. Others reacted to his polticis and took it out on his businesses. My comments had nothing to do with like or dislike of Musk. Just seems like he let his personal politics interfere with his business endeavors, to the financial detriment of he and shareholders.
I would guess that he bought it because twitter has the potential to be very lucrative. We are focusing on it from a "USA" perspective and I think he is looking at other markets.I am referring to the Twitter fiasco and buying it to exact revenge of some kind, only to find he didn't know enough about how it worked.

Well, think about that. If he bought it to make money, the decision was even more dopey than if he bought it to make a statement of some kind. At least with the latter from a business perspective you could understand why he flubbed it up so much. But if he bought it more or less on a whim to make money, and not knowing the business end of it pretty much at all, that was stupid.

I mean you really want to argue a right winger let his politics interfere when he built the first biggest EV company?
How did his politics impact SpaceX?
More relevant to the discussion at hand, how did his politics interfere with his creation of PayPal? <---this was the hint you were ducking.
Except for that time that I specifically mentioned?Except for that time where he bought Twitter which has been the impetus for all his problems.
The mere fact that he's become a political troll interferes with his business, even if it's not specifically affecting his choices.

It interferes with what Twitter was. It's his now, he can do with it what he wants. Yeah it's down currently from where it was performing before. Doesnt mean it will stay down, especially if he is able to make the big change he is talking about with making it a payment processor.
Personally I dont see that as a good, safe idea, but I know people will buy in for the convenience.
