Muslims behead yet another person

We all would love to live in your world of unicorns and rainbows where everyone gets their pot of gold. But there are bad people out there doing bad things, some in the name of religion, some in the name of statehood. And those people cannot be reasoned with, negotiated with or placated in any shape or form. And the only thing they recognize as a negotiating tool is the application of force against them. And while you condemn the "cowardly" attacks from drones and other military forces, those attacks generally save more lives in the long run than they take.

Someday when we get a global group hug going on and start singing "We are the World" in unison, perhaps I'll admit to being wrong. But until then, there will be people that need killing in order to save lives.

And I contend we create many of those people through our actions around the world. We meddle in affairs we know little about and are constantly surprised by the blowback. Maybe we should try a different approach, one espoused by our founders, and see how that goes. No? Well continue feeding the MIC and claiming moral superiority over those poor heathens in a desert

So those poor heathens in the desert bombed Khobar Towers because we were "meddling" in the affairs of Saudi Arabia? A place we were invited to be at the request of the Saudi Government? Or the USS Cole because it just so happened to put into port in Yemen? Or bombed the WTC the first time because of our "meddling?"

Or if you want to invoke the history angle, how about the Barbary Pirates? Other than being engaged in lawful commerce and trade, exactly what were our ships doing that warranted them attacking US flagged vessels? Should we have turned tail and ran then as well?

As I've tried to tell LG time and time again, there is nothing we can do to stop this at this point. We are past the point of taking our ball and going home. And something you isolationists/non-interventionists cannot wrap your head around is they will not stop. As long as someone out there believes in the "cause" they will not be happy until they strike at America because it increases their stature in an area where power is everything.

You Linked a poll, which is worthless. As to my claim, I read an article that stated 30-40% were extremist. I can't locate it now. But that's ok, you can believe what you want. The fact remains that millions of Muslims (even by your statistics) are hell bent on killing every non Muslim that walks the face of the earth. How are you going to react with a blade to the back of your neck asking for your allegiance to Allah?

There are a few well known posters on here that jump at any chance to bash any form of religion.

What we've got here is some premature butthurt. I haven't even finished my coffee this morning. I'll stretch my hammies and be back in a bit.

Here are some things I've learned from my time on VolNation Politics Forum.

Unless you're a masochist, DON'T...

1. Get involved in discussions about religion, particularly those involving Islam and Christianity.

2. Get involved in discussions about homosexuality and whether or not it's right or wrong.

3. Get involved in discussions that pit liberal v. conservative. You can't win, no matter what side you're own.

4. Get involved in philosophical debates, particularly if TRUT comes along. He will argue your ass half-to-death, and the next thing you know, half the day has gone by.

5. Get involved in discussions concerning race, particularly when black people are involved. And especially when black people and welfare are involved.

Basically, just don't even post on VolNation Politics Forum, I guess. Should you choose to do so, however, do it like a shower: quick-in, quick-out.

Your correct, if we abandoned the Middle East today, stopped buying their oil and even turned our back on Israel they wouldn't be satisfied.

Psst. Hey. C'mere...

You don't get to poop on another posters source when you can't provide the source of your outlandish claim.

That's not how this works, that's not how any of this works.

The US is a world power. The economy is a global economy. The fact is that the US is going to be involved in affairs in other parts of the world. I'm sure there are areas where US foreign policy has caused more problems than it has helped. But your response shows a bit of naivety. Muslims have and will continue to be a source of terror and conflict and that would be the case even if the US pulled out of every foreign country today. Our existence is in conflict with Muslim ideology. Islam is a religious ideology. It isn't defined by borders. It defines peace as the defeat and destruction of any voice opposed to Islam.
Our founding fathers even recognized the dangers.
John Quincy Adams also described the Quran in one of his essays as follows:

The precept of the koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force.

Wat? These threads you're describing are what I imagine it must feel like to Superman when he flies up into space and receives the suns rays.

The US can be involved without constantly meddling in internal affairs worth military might. The world economy does not need to be constantly strong armed by us. The rest of your Muslim crap is funny considering I was called naive

Also, JQA is not a founding father.

ISIS is full of a bunch of sick f***s, and Involuntary is correct. I've pointed it out before as well. Muslims around the world give their tacit approval by turning their head and saying nothing. And some of you guys who want to rationalize it away by saying well Christians used to do similar things are nuts.

I don't come on here to spit on people's religion. In fact, I largely stay out of religious topics. But ISIS is a threat to an entire region, and it has been extremely intolerant of lifestyles that do not conform - to the point of death. These are sick motherf****rs.

The Muslim religious base is huge around the world. They need to stand up and condemn this. Both inside of the Middle East and around the world. I'm really not interested in hearing a defense of why they haven't, why they shouldn't have to, what [insert religion here] did in 1300.

It's 2014. It's time to eradicate these ***holes. These are sick people.

Well said DC. :hi:

ISIS is no more than a group of murderers. They have beheaded one of our citizens and holding another hostage threating to behead him if Obama does not stop the bombings. Obama should tell ISIS when they back down and start acting like human beings he will stop the bombing until that time comes he will continue to increase the bombing campaign until they are wiped out and follow through with it.

Hey, I'm not pooping on his source. If I produce a poll that states 90% of Muslims are extremist you going to believe that? Cause I can produce a poll that will show just that. Polls are totally worthless when it comes to this.
