wtf does it matter what happened 2000 or however many years ago when we are talking about a current threat to ourselves, families and children? I don't get that thought process.

Christians also hunted him and his ilk down.

If you want to go old school with it: according to the text your just and loving god hardened the heart of the pharaoh so he could torture the Egyptians some more; he allowed satan to torture Job for being too good of a Christian; The eradication of the canaanites; Moses telling his men to kill everyone but keep the young girls for themselves.

I'd also add Christians have also been on the right side of almost all AD history.

I'm a Christian and love history, if you don't learn it your doomed to repeat its mistakes.

Actually, it's a lot better....if she is raped in a field the rapist is executed. if she is raped in a city a files charges ("screams out") he is then executed also.

This plus the Jewish laws on top of it, which the Bible says the Jews must obey, made rape the same as murder.

They didn't adapt to the Bible, they just stopped allowing the ones in leadership to pick and choose what parts of the Bible would be used to gain power.

There was no adapting unless you mean they actually started following the teachings of Jesus.

Nothing like good ole conservative scare tactics. What threat to your family exists?

And it matters because you share many of the same prophets and Old Testament law is very close to that of the Middle East .

If she's a virgin she has to marry her rapist and can never leave him.

If no one hears her scream she is executed.

You're right those are great laws from your fair and just god.

Screams out was translated from a term meaning "files charges"

Basically if she does not file charges it would be viewed as adultery.

This is way different than Sharia law. Way different.

Is it out dated....yes.

But again...we are comparing 2,000 years ago to MODEN DAY and it was still illegal to rape a women in the OT.

The virgin part is a whole other topic that I don't think you quite grasp.

I do not ask "when's the last time this happened" I told you your constant comparison of events of today to those hundreds or thousands of years ago is tiresome.

Not at all. I am tolerant of all non religious extremists, many people of lower intellect need religion.

I just hate seeing Christians bash Muslim extremist, while denying atrocities committed by extremist on their side.

Your argument is all wrapped in comparing things Christians have done 1000's of years ago to what Muslims are doing today.

It's like debating with a toddler.

Honest question...if you were a lawyer and someone had just killed a person by beheading them is your defense plea but they were a good person 50 years ago? No. Nor would the jurors by it. You must live in the moment and defend the actions of the moment. You are failing miserably to do this.

You asked my why Christians should not like history. I gave you numerous examples. And one of your responses was along the lines of "when was the last time someone was executed for that?"

So you asked me to defend my statements about the violent history of your religion and then defend it by essentially saying "that was a long time ago"
