If UNLV wins, then Boise would be out. One team in, one team out there.

If anything, as things are, it’d just move Alabama up to the #10 spot (meaning they’d, currently, probably play to play Georgia or Ohio State).

Correct. ASU/ISU winner would become the 4th highest ranked conference champion and would get the bye over UNLV (who would be guaranteed a spot as the 5th highest ranked conference champion but would be the lowest ranked playoff team in that scenario).

Bama NOT moving up is my take and a Boise W prevents that, so root Boise. But a W or L by either of these teams does not do anything to help us.
