My fear....

The lady vols go the way of old dominion and la tech? First uconn surpassed us. Now we're falling behind some of our SEC competition. The LVs were the one constant on the hill. Now we seem to be a shadow of what we once were. Not winning the SEC once seemed a ridiculous thought. Today shook me. Has our day passed? Someone give me something, anything to put me at ease.

Yeah, I'm worried, too. Remember what it was like in the good old days when the Lady Vols EVERY year won both the SEC regular season AND tournament? This year completely sucked because we won the regular season and got 2nd in the tournament. [/sarcasm]

Te'a did not choose the Lady Vols because of Diamond. Tennessee was her top choice all along. In fact, most UNC fans believe Diamond chose to transfer here because she knew this is where Te'a was going. This is also not true btw.

The story on this situation varies as to the real reason. I have never heard either player say why. Maybe you can direct me to a source I can believe. Any way no matter what, we have both of them. That is what really matters. That is the real truth.

The LVs have played so very well recently - to their potential. SC used a plan which was to attack the only physical post and it worked. As Holly said - small margin of error . Without Izzy they lost to ND and SC away and SC on the neutral court.

The LVs have been in a "perfect storm" beginning with PHS, and the continuing injuries to the posts and of course the chaos of power issues when PHS was no longer able to demand from within.

My opinion aside - my dad use to quote a very old radio (yes radio) program where the husband would say to his unhappy mother in law "if it makes you happy to be unhappy be happy. I am reminded of that quote frequently on this board.

Squashing rumors...

1. Tennessee program is not going anywhere. Next year, Tennessee will come in as the #2 team preseason behind UCONN.

2. Tennessee could not sell enough playing time to Dangerfield like UCONN could. 2015 guards coming in, UCONN has zero guards, they lost out on Durr on who they wanted. Had to get a top guard for 2016, they went hard after Dangerfield like no other. Dangerfield did have Tennessee on her list. Dangerfield could go to Tennessee and compete for playing time to be the top guard, or go to UCONN and BE the top guard.

3. You call a season where we finished tied for #1 in the conference, and loose in the championship game a demise in our program? Strength of Schedule = 1 RPI = 1 in the country today! The only blemish I see in this season is that lack of respect by the fans. Get it together! You must be a child of Brenda Freeze! Go back to Maryland and play ohio state three times while Tennessee plays South Carolina and Kentucky who would both would roll over them :)

I'm curious as to why you believe the LV's will surpass ND next year when they return all their top players (even the girl Cable is eligible for another year) and add 3 Micky D A-A's?
