Mine started out more Vandy fan than Vol, but over the years, I've orangefied her.

Then my daughter was born in Baton Rouge ... merde.

If this is just casual dating, then by all means have a good time and don't worry about it. I will say, if it were me, before anything got remotely serious there would have to be a serious agreement that any children would have to be strictly raised as Tennessee fans. May be stupid to some but that sort if thing matters to me.

I have three kids and there's zero chance I allow any of them to be raised LSU, or anyone besides Tennessee, fans.

Jesus H Christ. The girl went to another school. It is no big deal. It is not like a Muslim dude dating a Jewish girl.

I'm having a difficult time finding a fundamental difference in eliminating a potential mate based off college football and religious affiliation.

In all reality, both are equally as silly. That's not meant to disrespect the significance of anyone's religion. It's just to show that different things are important to different people.

Im not at all religious but rooting for the orange is a tradition in my family and one that has aided in building a bond between myself and my father. It is important to me to continue that trend and hopefully allow going to and watching games to assist in building a bond with my children. If my kids either root for someone else or just don't care, I'll live and find other ways to bond. With that said, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be slightly disappointed.

You are aware that Muslims and Jewish have a long history of bombing the shat out of each other? That is more serious than two universities playing a game of ball.

You implied that a Tennessee fan choosing to not date a girl because she's an LSU fan is somehow more ridiculous than Jew not dating a Muslim. I'm saying the two situations make equal sense, which is none.

Just because the Jew and Muslim's heritage is littered with retards who like to kill each other for no good reason doesn't mean they have to be also.

If two people truly have something then religion, ethnicity, and favorite college team should all play an equal role in deciding if they peruse a relationship. That role being none at all.

Last paragraph, I disagree about the religion part, agree with rest.. My wife went to LSU, posted this earlier in the thread.

So I started dating this girl and she is a hardcore LSU fan.... I didn't think to ask till I helped her move some clothes around the house and saw the horrific scene that was LSU jersey and shirts. Then I saw the worst thing of all a Baton Rouge newpaper from the 2007 SEC championship game with a signed picture of her and les miles on the field after the game. She is a 10 year season ticket holder and her brother inlaw's dad is one of the main boosters for LSU... I am crying a little on the inside. :cray:

Duuude...take out the LSU fan part and sounds like u got a sweet hook-up with this chick. If she's cute to hot then ur good to go. In the SEC to me LSU is pretty cool. At least take advantage of going to some games. Been there twice...one night game...d*mn u Rohan Davy!! And the '11 game. Had a blast other than the outcome. If ur with an LSU girl u should be safer than being in a group of dudes in orange. Great people to hangout with. Have fun and take advantage of having a team in the SEC west to tolerate and yall can at least get together and have hatred for Bama. Hopefully she'll allow u to take out yrs of frustration after our game, but if they win I'm sure she'll be about it bout it for some fun. Win win in my book. :devilsmoke:

Ohhh and I'm sure she knows this but if u ever have to get tickets don't think your getting a sweet deal if the tickets end up being rows 1thru10ish...just take my word for it. :cray:
