He went to the FBU camp in chicago this and during warmups on friday they moved him up with the varsity QB's. After competing against the older qb's all weekend his coach for the camp realized he was in the wrong group and couldn't believe it. He just got his invitation to Top Gun by email. I can't wait, he is already recruiting for UT. :dance2:

Well, I hope you are not one of those fathers that will let their son make their own decision in recruiting. You know far better where he should be !!!!

Just kidding.

Congratulations

How many are invited? And from what regions? National? Or southeastern? (Just curious)

I am not sure. I talked to some of the other fathers at the camp this weekend and they thought they take 2 for each grade(6-12) from each camp they have. I think there is 32. I'm not sure though. We are from Indiana and we went to the chicago camp because he has another camp to go to when they have the one in Indianapolis. There was kids there from all over. Cali, Denver and Nebraska to name a few.

Congratulations!!! Don't forget what I said on the PM. I'm rooting for him in a big way. You have an athlete on your hands.

If your son is asked to play in a pick up game of beach volleyball and suddenly a Kenny Loggins song starts playing, tell him to slowly walk away.

I pray someday he will play at UT, but I honestly think he will get recruited as an athlete. He is also a sprinter in track and was beating the high school kids in are area this year.

Playing for UT in any sport or position would be great.

I had a chance to walk on for the CC team back in '96 but the out of state tuition was too much for me and my family. I ended up taking a scholly to LMU instead.

I hope your son makes it. I think it would be great to follow a dads dream over the years on VN.
