Playing that D-II team really hurt Arkansas. Also, the 50-14 beating they took at the hands of USC does not help their cause.

It's a computer index, based upon strength of schedule and margin of victory. So, I guess the computer has not accepted the loss???

So your saying with 4 or 5 teams losing in front of us and arkansas with an outstanding win that we should drop 4 places in the BCS, your out of your mind.

This has nothing to do with the BCS. This is a simple computer index, like an RPI for football. That is it.

If Arkansas had won by more then 2 against Vandy, 1 against Bama, and less than 36 against USC, and hadn't played a D-II team, they would be higher in my index.

Well of course we wouldn't do that unless usc, notre dame loses and we win out.
Even if USC and ND lose, Arkansas is not, and will not, be in a position to jump the loser of the Michigan-Tosu game to play in the National Title. USC is the only team, IMO, that has a shot at being #2 in the BCS if they win out.

Of course, but with what happend saturday, everyone has said we will move up to 5-8 spot in the bcs. What im saying is that we will not drop in the bcs, or in any poll for that matter.

Well then every announcer on espn, kirk, corso, and a few others have just lost their head then haven't they. We do have a chance, probably isn't a that big of a chance but we do have one.

I have no doubt that Arkansas will move up in the BCS. I think Arkansas will be looking at a #7 or #8 spot in the BCS, depending upon whether or not Rutgers jumps Arky.

If USC wins out, there is absolutely no way the Arkansas makes it in ahead of USC (50-14, remember?)

If USC loses, there is no way that Arkansas jumps Michigan. Arkansas barely scratched by Vandy, Michigan beat Vandy by 20. And, before you go saying that stuff does not matter to the voters, it definitely matters in the 6 computer rankings.

I doubt rutger's will. They were like 3 behind arky in the usa today, ap, and bcs. They are now 2 behind us in the usa today poll that came out today. So im thinking they will be behind us in the bcs.

2. Michigan (1) 11-0 1,513

4. USC 8-1 1,373
5. Notre Dame 9-1 1,273
6. Arkansas 9-1 1,248

Correct. If USC wins out, they WILL be playing the Michigan/Ohio State winner.

You may think im just trying to argue with you but I also wanted say I heard many espn announcers say the computer will love us after what happend durning the tenn game.

You may think im just trying to argue with you but I also said that because Several announcers etc on espn have said that the computers should love us after what happend in the tenn game.
Several announcers on ESPN also stated that California would win the BCS Championship, two days ago!

The computers will not love Arkansas for handing a team their 3rd loss of the season...and only by 17 points (that last TD Arkansas allowed, could very well mean the difference between Sugar Bowl and National Title.)

The computers might love Arkansas for beating a 1 loss Florida team in the SECCG. However, I do not see Arkansas stuffing it right down Florida's throat. If Florida loses, and keeps that game within 10 points, Arkansas goes to the Sugar Bowl.
