My take from the game.....

I think Lynch didnt expect our D for be so fast. He look shocked when they caught him behind the line.

He thought he could run east to west on us LOL

I think the one that really got them was when we blitzed a linebacker off the weak side and he was able to run across the formation and catch Lynch from behind as he ran off tackle to the opposite side.

lynch may make it into the nfl one day, and then he may win dancing with the stars part 15, but that foxtrot, east to west crap don't fly in the SEC baby. grow a pair or stay on the west coast.

We took a preseason Heisman candidate and made him look average. Ayoob also would have had a INT too expect our safety fell down right infront of the pass. Don't think he would have done much better. Vols D line was in the QB's face all game. Don't care what name was on the Bear jersey.

that was my boy Ryan Karl.

my new favorite defensive player since Robert Peace.

this is the 1st season opener i have ever missed. all i could do is not wreck while checking live updates from my phone. unfortunately a funeral in the family has me on the road and wont make it home to watch the game till thursday. whew. anyways..

holding a heisman hopeful to under 100yards, having our leading tacklers for the game NOT be a defensive back and having an oline keep the pressure off ainge is, well...AWESOME!! im so proud of the efforts from the fans, the players, the coaching staff and all of VOLNATION. i hope we get this hyped for every game.

CAL WHO???

all i can say is, HOW BOUT THEM VOLS??!!??!!

ps. if no one was watching tennessee before, they are watching us now! the highlight run of hardesty was awesome. cant wait to get home and watch the game. i might just have to watch it twice.

Honestly, no matter who was in, we were going to thrash Cal with the way we played last night.

The score could have EASILY been 56-0. EASILY. Our 1st team left at least 14 points out there for various small reasons. Cal fans will be quick to point out so many dropped passes, and I will be quick to mention 2-3 dropped INTs by our secondary.

Lynch for Heisman is done.

Ayoob was 9-22, so I don't buy that he would have won the game for them.

Daymeion Hughes, if you'll remember, said they'd put a show on. I never even heard his name called. Then again, I was screaming in joy every 30 seconds.

And when our first play went for a 30 yard completion, I looked at my Arizona born and bred buddy and said "Game over" and he laughed. I wasn't joking, nor was I wrong.

One of my proudest moments as a UT fan and alum.
