My take on UGA

Beck has struggled, he hasn’t been as accurate and he is forcing the ball when he shouldn’t and missing reads. But that’s is not what worries me, and it’s not why GA got whipped by Ole Miss. It’s the struggling O-line that is the issue.

Awhile back I wouldn’t have given TN much chance to go into Athens and beat GA, but things have changed. The TN front 7 is for real, and the GA O-line isn’t getting it done. It will still be difficult to beat GA in Athens and especially under the circumstances, but it’s possible that the TN defense could be the difference in this game.

If Nico and Sampson are healthy, TN has a very good chance, unless GA gets their shite together. If the GA offense plays like last Saturday they might not score against the Vols d. I can hardly believe I’m saying that, but it’s a possibility.

It’s also a possibility that GA comes out with a vengeance and destroys TN, but I really think we will see a close fought game. GA likely has the talent to right the ship, but if they don’t, this TN defense can dominate the LOS, and if that happens TN will be in good shape and have a very good chance to upset GA. At this point, I wouldn’t even call it a major upset, but we will see.

Like almost always in the SEC, this game will be won on the LOS. Since Kirby’s arrival, GA doesn’t loose the LOS, but if TN can push them around there, they can win. Miss. got pressure rushing 4, if TN does as well I think they might win.

Anyway, great build up for this game! I’m excited. I’m very glad it’s in Athens, Neyland would be a big problem for us. I would say may the best team win, but I want GA to win no matter.😂 I will say thanks for the hospitality you’ve shown me on this site. I look forward to discussing the game further and even after. I want be ghosting Vol Nation even if you do whip my team at home.

To me it’s about how we play on offense (no shock).
Our defense will play well . . . However, I don’t think our defensive front will generate as many sacks as Ole Miss did . . . And that concerns me. If Beck has time and gets in a groove . . . It will be a long day for UT.

However it happens, scoring wise, we win:

1. 30 points - 100% we win
2. 27 points - 90% plus we win
3. 24 points - 70% chance we win
4. 20 - 23 points - 50/50 game
5. Below 20 points - 90% we lose

JMO. I think we score 20 - 23 points. Only way I see us scoring more is scoop and score / interception for a TD etc.
Nobody has scored 20 on us all year

UGA has to deal with that UT pass rush. If it can do so, Beck is dangerous to any secondary. But he has played VERY poorly under pressure, and the OL is coming off its second stinker of the season and is down 2-3 starters. UGA can’t complain about depth, and I won’t. Gotta play with what you got at this point in the season.

Tennessee must also survive UGA’s rush, though UT is built more for playing the long ball against the blitz.

The usual caveats apply: turnovers, whoever can run for first downs, special teams, etc. But I’m watching to see who wins the pass rush game.

And I hope Nico is healthy—not in the cocky sense but because we all want everybody on stage when the curtain goes up.

Your right and I have nightmares of them saying finally Beck has a Heisman like game.
It could happen, Beck is much better than he has played. Yet, y’all’s defensive front has me worried. He could just as easily be a turnover machine if pressured.

He is pretty accurate when he has time to find a receiver. However, when he gets pressure, he has a big problem trying to get rid of the ball to avoid the hit. When we put pressure on him, we will get turn overs. The big problem will ge if we are unable to stop the runs inside the tackles and off tackle runs to the weak side. Our defense will have her to wins this game for us Saturday.

I’m afraid I agree with you on Beck. At least that’s the way it has been. It’s not just Beck for us though. We are down 3 RBs, the O-line is dealing with injuries and vastly struggling, and we have no #1 receiver or at the moment any receiver that can get separation and catch the ball consistently even when Beck is on target.

Still, GA is loaded with talent. I’m not sure what to expect, but I’m worried about TN’s front 7.

I agree. It will be a game that could go either way, depending on which team gets the breaks or makes the fewest mistakes.

With the recruitment they have their 2nd string could start most anywhere in the country. Don't discount the fact they have some starters out. We have to play an excellent game to win. I think our offense will struggle to score, but so will theirs. They needed a a short field to beat Texas. We need to force them to go the whole field. I don't think they can do that all game.
has the 2nd string QB even played this year ? Dont know his name unless I Google
