So you really expected big changes from Hopson in 2 1/2 months? The season ended in April - what did you expect?

I expected him to be able to drive by guys that play in division 2, but maybe that's too much to ask.

Goins had a nasty windmill dunk tonight.

That was SICK. Tatum looked good. Woolridge looked bad. Hopson looked ehhhh.

McRae is awesome. He is going to be a stud.

Hall didn't play well. Got pushed around easily and kept bringing the ball down and getting it stripped and knocked loos.

It was a blast! J.P. Primm put on a show.

I don't understand Woolridge. He has good size, runs the floor well, jumps well, but seems to have no real basketball ability. He is terrible defensively and his shooting ability is very poor. He also has serious problems finishing around the basket. It's a shame. Just by looking at him, you would think he could be an exceptional player.
I suggest you highlighted most accurately.

:good!:

Goins and Tatum are the two most impressive to watch, imo. Your opinion of Hopson's play is basically just the same as when I watched him last week. McRae is raw, but looks to have some serious upside.

Yea, I forgot Goins. He played very well.

Hopson made a few threes, but missed a lot. Still slow on defense. He looks like the same old Hopson, unfortunately.

Law, how does Goins look? He is really going to have to play well, because I Golden is going to have a little bit of trouble with the transition to point.

Goins was really impressive, imo. He is unbelievably explosive; he made some great passes and plays great defense. I could see him scoring between 8 and 12 a game and really being a leader for us.

Don't underestimate Golden. He might not be a great PG, but he definitely handles well and looks like he can defend. And what I was the most impressed with was his shot. Excellent shooter.

Golden will be a factor next year. He has the body to play in the SEC immediately, good handle, good defensively, and good shooter with 3 capability.

Good. How is his dribbling? That's my biggest concern.

And I wasn't trying to knock Golden. I am really excited about him. I just feel like he might have a little bit of trouble to the transition of PG.

He handles the ball well; he's just not nearly as explosive as Goins. He also shoots the ball better much better than Goins. I think he can be a quality backup.

I was talking about Goins' handling, because last year, he didn't handle ball pressure well.

So, Golden playing in the 2 deep rotation behind Goins and McRae playing behind Tatum with Hopson at the 3? Harris at the 4 and Williams/Hall at the 5?

this is good to know. coming in, the two things I've heard were the most questionable are his defense and ballhandling.

I had a good time. It wasn't nearly as hot when I was there as it was last year when I went.
I know when I was there last year it was hotter than a 3 peckered billie goat. Glad to hear that changed a little bit this year lol...Heading down tomorrow to watch.

His defense looks good in a league that plays no defense. He is adequate with the ball, but will need to improve as he matures into the Vols offense.

Golden looked exception good tonight. First time I have seen him and I was very impressed.

I've never been a Woolridge fan, but I will admit he looked much more comfortable out on the floor and played well.

Tatum should blow up this season and have a monster year.

Goins is a stud and is ready to be the starting pg.

It was nice to see Prince and Howell back on the floor.
