My Thoughts on the LSU Game After Sleeping on It

I think Small hasn’t been healthy till the bye week. He didn’t look healthy in September but he did really well on Saturday.

Shout out Jeremiah Crawford and Dayne Davis. They did a great job taking over for Mincey. Spraggins/Mays/Carvin/Wright all look like guys who will get drafted. The right side dominated.

Hendon Hooker is our best player. Cedric Tillman is a close second. Omari Thomas is our third. Yes the edge rushers had a day but it all starts with Thomas. He’s incredible. He really gave LSU fits all day, taking up multiple blockers on our stunts and blitzes and shut down their run game.

I think the vibe of that LSU team is just terrible. If the rumors about Boutte’s attitude are true, the fact that he is still on the team says all you need to know about how well the coaching staff controls that locker room. Brian Kelly is a fraud and he’s being exposed at LSU.

Correction, he is a RICH fraud.

I think Huepel wanted Sampson to get some reps (home state) but when he missed that blitzer and allowed #5 to get blindsided it was the bench for him.

I found it interesting that, unusually, the time of possession was about evenly split between both teams. It seems that usually one of the points that the announcers mention, but if they did, I missed it.
