5. I can't think of a 5th that would be interested and be a homerun hire that we need.

After those, you get into Strong and Fisher territory...... ewwwww.

Hyams just tweeted UT wouldn't pursue Petrino but was looking into Dirk Koetter (Falcons OC), and David Shaw (Stanford). If you believe Hyams, replace Petrino with Shaw on my list.

Petrino is 100% not happening but Gruden is sounding good. Mora scares me that he may bolt at any time and not sure about his recruiting in the south. Stoops, Strong and Fisher would be great options. Briles doesnt play defense he would get drilled in the SEC, imo

Hyams knows nothing. Petrino wont be in the SEC anytime soon so he is right on that. Just dont see Shaw leaving but would be a great hire. Dont know much about Koetter. Time to Google.

I would be extremely happy with Shaw but I don't see him leaving his alma mater (Stanford).

Just googled him and see that exact thing. Plus he is a straight up left coast guy. Doubtful he knows much about recruiting this part of the region. Where does Hyams come up with this.

I done the same, Hyams is an idiot. I hope. If this is true and all Gruden is wanting extra is full control of the football program, the fans should revolt like the French.

Shaw would be my No. 3 after Stoops, but he ain't leaving Stanford.


And Hyams is a tool.

Strong at his best is dools 2.0, when your AD has announced this is a crossroads hire you had better bring everything to the fan base. Gruden is the only answer at this point, and if the only thing that seperates the sides is control of the football program, the ad could be looking for a job if he does not work this out.
