Is someone paying you too try and lower are expectations!

Again not trying to lower anyone's expectations only you have that power; they are your expectations not mine. Simply stating my opinion and making an observation over the last few weeks.

you know, the key thing here in all serious is---- Butch and this staff believes they can win and this mentality and leadership spreads to the team. We will not win tomorrow, but this type of attitude that is being instilled in these kids is contagious and I hope it turns into a confident, flying-high, balls to the wall, letting it all hand out, no pressure team that goes out there and swaps punches for four quarters and makes this OK team earn every freakin point..... it will be a true win (I know there are those on here that hate the moral victories, I hate them too, but in this case I will agree) if OK tip-toes or better yet, hobbles off the field into the locker room at the end of the game saying to themselves, "whew, we dodged a bullet today and I don't want to play those guys again...." that my friends will speak volumes not only to our team's self-confidence moving forward, where we are headed as a program, sending the right message to potential recruits, but also to the rest of the country to take notice of us from here on out.... Here's to us going in ready to go toe to toe in a prize fight and lasting every round! GBO!

Don't get me wrong I am a Vol fan and a homer BUT

I hope we win the game
I hope we go 12-0

But then I wake up and realize 6 wins MAYBE 7 would be an amazing season for this squad and one of them in all likelihood will not be the Sooners.

Good lord, 6 or 7 is expected and no where near amazing

Of all of the games that are being played this weekend that would truly be considered an upset, I believe the UT Oklahoma game is the most probable one to occur.

Reason one. Butch Jones was very confident in his press conference, he even reiterated that we have played quality opponents so far this year; Insinuating that Oklahoma I has not.

Reason two. I believe that he believes UT will win this game, and I believe he has these kids believing they will win this game.

Reason three. I believe this team has invested the time, and work to deserve to win, and it is showing on the field in every phase of the game.

The last reason. The last team that Butch coached against OU, almost walked off with a win. It took some last minute heroics to beat that Cincinnati team, and I believe this team is more talented than that one.

Win or lose, I'm excited about this game. Go Vols!

I will rephrase to say I expect 6, but its difficult to find the 7th so to me I would consider the season great if we find ourselves 7-5 at the end. As our young players grow up on the field it will get better as we are stacking talent now in most positions.

Of course thats why we play the game anything is possible. Its just tough to find more than that with how young and inexperienced we are at such key positions. It will all depend on how fast they progress and injuries could be devastating.

In all reality though its hard to say until after tomorrow. We somehow win, or even keep it within a couple TDs then we could have more surprises to come!

Yes tomorrow is huge and I think we will be celebrating a decisive victory.

Do not be surprised if the Head Ball Coach waves a magic wand and Carolina gets a W this weekend.

I thought I was the only one. spurrior is one of the best big game coaches in the history of the game. You think he is going down and ending his career like THIS? Could this be georgia's stumble?

Well, it's a good thing that this team is so dang young. They don't even realize that they are going to Norman to have their rear ends handed to them. They actually think that they are going there to win. Shhh..don't anyone tell them.

We are a 21pt dog. Any bold sunshine pumpers out there betting this one? I don't gamble, but I wouldn't touch this one with a 10ft pole.

I don't gamble either. I'd bet the line but not to win if I did.

UT's hopes hinge on a couple of match ups IMO. One is that the UT's DL has to keep their OL off the LB's. That should limit their run game a little more than they are used to. UT's DB's need to be able to play man a good portion of the time so they can give different looks up front. I don't think UT can stop them playing "vanilla" on D.

UT will probably struggle to run the ball. That said, UT's OL needs to do at least what the '11 OL did for Bray. Worley needs enough time to make 3 reads.
