I'm not certain, but FSU has had several the last few. There's a link out there that lists all the scholars and their U.S. colleges, but I can't find it.

I read that he is the 3rd FSU student in 3 years to win the award.

I'd assume he wouldn't get the 1-year scholarship if he goes to the NFL now and then comes back. Probably why he plans to enter in 2010.

Good point, considering the rumors that the league will enact a new rookie pay scale after '09.

Granted he's not even considered a first day pick, he'd certainly be able to pay for school over there after evena modest career.

i believe it was reported that he could delay his entry into oxford. not sure if the scholarship would be pulled, but i imagine he could afford to pay the tuition after a couple of years of nfl salary.

The scholarship covers 3 years, although many only go over there for 1 or 2.

Honestly no one knows until he runs a forty and interviews. He very well could go in the first or be undrafted.

Every indication has been that he would be a first round pick.

Mel Kiper said mid-late first rd. I think Kiper had him landing in New England.

Six maybe? They used to have t-shirts that mentioned the number of Rhodes Scholars, astronauts, and other academic stuff, and at the end I believe they said something like "and we play a little football too."

I have that shirt somewhere... It was middle single digits if I remember correctly.

Sometimes people get over hyped about athletes, after all they are playing a kids game for a living. Some guys, just do it for fun and not for the money. Something to keep them entertained going through school
