Alexander has done a great job. So has Bland. I just happen to find the history of the program to be lacking, and I'm not the biggest fan of the Wing-T.

I hear ya' on the wing-t...But when Alexander got there, he literally had to start from scratch...It was the only offense he could realistically recruit for...CDA has done good things OFF the field as well...He has basically ended the "mercenary" type of athletes that CU and most NAIA schools typically attract and now has players who are committed to the program from enrollment until graduation..That was a HUGE step...And finishing 8-3 this year was big considering their schedule and losing their starting QB in the first game...All-in-all it was a good season for them..And they should keep gettin' better...

We have the same problem with players leaving. We typically have around 100 freshman and around 10-15 seniors.

I think that's why NAIA teams struggle to stay on top...JMO

It can be hard, but if you establish some consistency, it's feasible. GTOWN has used the same Red Faught/Mullins offense for years now. Cronin won the MSC title from every year from 1998 to 2006. Throw in two national championships and two runner-ups and you have domination. The Indians.. err Patriots have stepped it up in recent years.

You're right...still can't get pass Gtown though.

It happened in 08.

But that was also arguably the best season in your program's existence.

I can remember the shellackings that used to occur. Which is proof in and of itself of the progress of Bland in comparison to King.
