Name Our Home (student section)

The $40,000 a year i pay UT to be a student and watch my fellow students play a sport is enough to sit in the lower level. Get over it, or don't go to college games if you don't want to sit behind college students.

40K a year? Really? I know tuition prices have increased significantly over the years but I'm not sure UTK is 20K a semester (excluding daily 'living' expenses).

If so, even as an alum, I would advise someone to look elsewhere for their degree, depending on your area of study. Not sure the value is there.

Including all expenses, its close to 20k

That includes a 3k activities fee and the cost of student tickets. For $25,000, you'd think they could throw in 6 football tickets

That's about what I thought. I thought 40K might have been either a blatant exageration or just an uneducated guess of what daddy and mommy are paying.

I agree, if you pay 3K in 'activities' fees, football tix should be included!

Student tickets are 10 bucks. You can easily save up for student tickets by drinking a bit less or not going out to eat the week of the game.

If you're an in-state student there's no way you're paying 25 grand a year, even if you're living on campus.

You gotta be kidding me, I'm from out of state and trust me i am paying $40,000 a year to go here all together. Approximately $30,000 in tuition, $5,000 in housing, and at least $5,000 in everyday living costs for 10 months. Don't try and talk down to me like i don't know what i am talking about, because you are obviously stuck in the old days and need to do some research.

If you did some research you'd see that not everyone that attends UT is from the state of Tennessee. And in case you didn't know, it costs a little bit more for people out of state.
