I liked the Rocky Top Rowdies until you typed it like that. RTR? I think not. :disappointed:

yeah, I knew that but its still the best name, maybe they should make it where its the student section or change the name of the student ticket holders.

Since we have to crawl up the banks of the Tennessee River to get into TBA and since the river is the home of the Tennessee Pearl, why don't they name them the RIVER RATS... I admit it, I'm really reaching here but I can see hundreds of students in the endzone wearing pirate hats and twirling rubber rats around by the tail while the theme from Willard plays over the loudspeaker!...Rats and hound dogs, in Tennessee they are practically one in the same, both can sniff out the cheeze! and all the students have to have a large gold hoop earring in one ear...man I'm really digging myself in deep now!

how about "EMPTY SEATS"...it may not get the crowds into the game but its accurate.

We had 14,000 + at the Eastern Kentucky game. That's not bad. I agree though, too many seats at TBA. Who knows, maybe Pearl can fill them.

official attendence was actually only 13,500 still looked pretty empty for an arena that size, would have been 2,000 more than a sell out if we were still at Stokley.

It's hard for the students to get loud and rowdy when they are in some of the worst seats. If some of the Old Farts would get off their asses and cheer, the games might actually be electric and worth watching.

I hve not been to TBA but it is this way in most places. I really do not like Duke but they at least let the students have good seats and they make an impact!

Personally I'm GLAD TBA is as large as it is because knowing Bruce Pearl, he is really challenged to see if he can fill it. He seems to feed on such challenges. I've been to two of his games this year and it was more fun watching this team (as limited as it is) than any of the TN teams I've ever watched before and if you have not been to a game yet, I would not be doubting the show. I believe it is the best ticket in town and if there was ever a wagon to put a band on, this one deserves it. If you want a good seat you better get it now because once we get into the meat of the SEC schedule, your best chance to see the game will be on TV.

How about "Smokey's Howl?" Imagine how crazy it would sound if everyone started howling in TBA when the other team is lining up for a late free throw attempt?

How about the Big Orange Screw? UT with all their infinite wisdom gives the students the worst seats, so they can do what they do best, brown nose to the season ticket holders. Then with all the decent seats taken, that most major basketball colleges allow some to be at least taken up by students so they can have the rowdy crowd on top the other team instead of the blue hairs, they give the best student seats to the orange nation (back again to what UT is best at, taking money from people) which can be describe as the yawn nation because those kids don't know how to cheer for anything.
