Cuavos did not play!!! Take Annie or Westbrook out of our line up and see what happens???
We're not talking ifs and buts, Cuavos has been hit or miss her entire career there who can know if that would have made a difference? Of course you could also say they didn't have Tea. maybe that would have helped too.

This is SO UNTRUE! You continue to spew that rhetoric after people who have seen the team LIVE several times say otherwise.

They rarely show on television, the coaching moments to which you refer. Holly is always having coachable moments with players, whether it be when other players are shooting free throws, when they are heading towards the bench or even the players already on the bench. She points things out that are going on, on the floor that she thinks needs adjusting.

You kill me teacherdean!!!!

Teacherdan Kills a lot of us! It is far too many Debbie Downers on this forum. If you want to critique then go ahead but to always bash and never have anything positive to say that is a problem.

Go and find another university and cheer them on. It's a new year with a new group of players and a new assistant coach on the coaching staff. Give it a shot to see if there are improvements. It wont happen over night but there are improvements in players and area's of the game and Holly's coaching that I have seen since last season.

She wasn't a hit or miss when she shut down Morgan William and won a National Championship. SC dominated Maryland there's no way around it. The only reason they made it a game because Dawn sat the starters and played her freshman. The freshman needs more game experience and they will get plenty this season. SC scored 94 points on a top 15 and it could have easily been more had Cuevas been healthy and Cooper was eligible.

Wilson is faster and more aggressive than Russell. Wilson knows how to block out and how to place herself in position for rebounds. Wilson is relentless. Against Wilson, Russell cannot take anytime off. When we play USC, Russell had better bring her hard hat and be prepared to work for 4 quarters.

Russell wont have the assignment of Wilson, Russell will guard Jennings, Green (hopefully but that time) will see most of Wilson and Wilson will have to contend with her and if she is back to her pre ACL forum that may be a problem for Wilson defensively. Jennings couldn't guard Russell when she was at UK she can't guard her now.

WHAT???? If you think green can guard Wilson or give her trouble defensively PLEASE ALLOW ME TO HAVE WHATEVER YOUR SMOKING!! A'ja will have a field day against her, wayyyy to quick, mobile, and strong for one defender to stop her let alone green. And you say Jennings couldn't guard Russell at UK....well she's at SC now and its a much different story this time around...

Your right the game still has to be played. the season is very young and SC still has some growing to do I just think that Wilson's last season is going to be one for the ages.

Clearly you can’t read! I never said Green could stop her I said Green would have the defensive assignment on her! I also said Green (hopefully) by that time will be back to her her pre ACL form and if so she will make Wilson have to play defense as well (and when players are ask to defend and they aren’t use to doing so as often their offense suffer)

Please read carefully before responding and just like with Stewie when she was at UConn if you are physical with Wilson on the block she tends to hang at the top of the key or around the perimeter! We have 5 players to throw at her that’s 25 fouls! You stop her you beat SC! I like our chances!

P.S. sleep on Green if you want to on the offensive end! We don’t need anyone to stop Wilson we need someone to slow her down (contain her) and make her work (get her in foul trouble)!

Maryland has a cast of new people, including a freshman point guard. They played USC very good down the stretch. By the way they have a short bench, with ten players. I noticed that Freese coached her players up alone the sideline. I see a lot of the top 10 coaches doing that but seldom see Holly coaching players on the sideline. Usually, if they make errors or not, she only pats them on the butt as they head to the bench.

Before you try to insult my intelligence maybe you should go back a read what I said. Clearly reading isn't fundamental to you because you can't read. Never did I say that green couldn't stop her (which is true), I said if Green guards A'ja she'll have a field day (which is also true). Its funny how you tried to take a jab at Wilson saying she doesn't play defense(false) or her offense will suffer when she currently leads the SEC in career blocks and was the DPOY in 2016 and All Defensive Team in the SEC last year.

Don't try and compare no one on Tennessee to Stewie because she was the only player who could guard Aja 1 on 1. Last year UCONN played a Zone because they couldn't stop Aja.

The same could be said for tenn. Stop Nared you win the game! And I like our chances as well!

P.S. No one is sleep on green, she seems like a good player. SC also has a lot more players than Wilson so focus on her all you want and watch other players step up.

Think so? Hmmm I felt like that with last years team when you stopped DD but I don’t get the sameness feeling with Nared this year. Just like with A’ja last year you had Gray and Coates and a couple of times Davis would be a monster. I feel like if you shut Nared down then you have Mercedes then you have Davis who regardless of class she can ball out just like I’m sure you feel about Wilson then Jennings then Bianca.

Scoring from last year

Wilson- 14 pts 4 rebounds In 22 min

Russell - 16 pts 10 reb in 37 min

Both players had an impact on the game and I think both players will have an impact again let’s agree on that and wait til the ball tips up?

Sure reads like you said she couldn't stop her. We shall see soon enough! I'm sure London will be up for the challenge and wont back down. A career night that game is great for her draft stock next year.

You stop Nared you still have to contend with Russell. Yes Jennings is at SC and she still doesn't stand a chance guarding Russell by herself.

Good Luck!

There are at least three more LV’s that teams better not sleep on otherwise they will fill it up. This team has more quality depth than previous seasons. Visitors can cackle all they want. I say let your team do the talking.

Actually, we play SC TWICE this year—once here and once in Columbia. I would be happy with a split.

Prolly why Cooper got in a fight with Nared, Diamond's hitwoman, lol she outplayed Diamond last year, she was the best player on the team, especially in big games. This is what happens when talented player is outworked. If Diamond worked as hard as Nared, wow! smh!

Nared, good for you, thanks for representing the Lady Vols well last year.

We will go as far as you take us!

"Probably" need to lose the jack-ass selfie to be taken seriously. As if this needs serious consideration

Edited:

Sorry P4,,,Seeing that Avatar that disappeared months rubbed me the wrong way. I miss your rhetoric, I do, but that gawdawful avatar, nope.

Maybe Coop felt one way or the other,,,I don't know,,,But I watched Diamond play in her teens. She was a Pistol and I saw 3 of her games. I saw her upbringing. Talked to her Mom once....DD has some maturing to do, but "backing an attack"...Diamond don't shine that way
