I agree with the benefit of the doubt statement,I also think Smoke will give it back!In the next few races Smoke will get him(JPM)back,if he (JPM)is as arrogant as seems, IMHO most of the drivers will not go with him in the draft this week or try and help on smaller tracks.

One thing about Dega, if you don't have friends on the track, you are screwed. The more bridges he burns with drivers, the less likely he will have any help on the plate tracks.

His best chances to win a race will be at the road courses, obviously...But he just better not hope Smoke isn't behind him when he's in the lead because Smoke won't care at all to lay the chrome horn to him

Tony will get him back, it's just a matter of time. :dance2:

That's for sure....and if you really think about it, that's how come nobody wants to help Jr. anymore....Winning 5 in a row at a track like that will tend to have more people working against you than working with you

I agree. I have a feeling he is going to have to get used to finding himself hung out to dry and watching the train roll by. The only way he'll win any "friends" is if he shows up with a dominant car.

That is true. Dale Jr. used to get all kinds of help until he started winning there a lot.

I remember Jeffy saying on the radio a year or 2 ago, "I have no friends out here!!!" He was getting upset that no one was helping him. I can just imagine how frustrating that could be.

Yes, that is very true.

I remember that and his classic "They just won't let me pass out here today".....But the sad part about that race a year or 2 ago was that he had a good enough car to where he didn't have to have help to pass cars.....That race really made me sick too, Jr. was so ahead of him when that caution came out.....And people say that NASCAR tends to favor Dale Jr.....Don't think so....If that was really 100% true then they wouldn't have fined him 2 years ago in the fall at Talladega when he dropped the S bomb on National Television

That was the race where all of those idiots threw beer cans and JPoor was hit in the head with one.
That race made me mad. Dale Jr. was definately ahead of him, but oh well.

I think Nascar hyped Dale Jr. way too much the first few years he was in the Cup, but they don't that much anymore. He is close to the bottom of their favorites list. It's because he says what he wants to whether Nascar likes it or not. If they say anything negative about Nascar, they are in the doghouse.

When he said the S word, I was on my way back from Nashville, listening to it on the radio. He said it out of excitement from winning. The previous drivers that had said a cuss word that year had said it out of anger and Nascar compared it to that. It made me mad that they fined him, docked points, etc.

LOL, I thought it was pretty funny myself.....But god could you imagine how many pissed of people there would have been if Jr. had lost the Championship that year by 24 points and them having docked him 25??? Not just pissed at NASCAR but Dale Jr.? Oh well, maybe he'll get his chance again this weekend to say something out of the excitement of winning

I was hoping that if he did lose the championship that he lost by more than 25 points. There would have been a lot of po'd people, including me.

It's pretty sad that drivers have to watch what they say in victory lane, God forbid if they let a bad word slip out. It's not like anyone watching or listening hasn't heard the S word before.

It would be nice to see him get a win this weekend. I think he and his team need that to get their spirits up. They have had a lot of bad luck lately. :frown:

Other than Stewart and maybe 2 or 3 weekends Kurt Busch...Jr. has had the worst luck out of anyone this year.....California he had a good enough car to win, I say that because he was out front pulling away from the pack, even being a lap down.....so that tells me at the time he had a good car, didn't mean he'd win but he would have been at least top 5-7......Daytona, I gave up hope when he couldn't pulled up to the top 5 there at the end...Let people say what they want to about him and his fans this weekend and him not having a good enough car to win this weekend and what not.....they must not remember last fall......Jr. dominated that race and some moron decided to take him and his own teammate out to win....He'll be OK this weekend
