Danica should have got some kind of penalty for sticking Hornish in the fence at Talladega. It was no different IMO than what Busch did to Hornaday in the truck race last year.

I don't agree with doozer much, but with this I do. I've never cared for Smith, and though I think Kurt needs to watch his mouth, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Marty was poking the bear to get a rise out of him. Should just chalk this altercation up as two d-bags being d-bags.

I usually like Marty Smith but I think this story (or lack of one) is way overblown.

I do think some media members will be going at Kurt going forward to get reaction out of him. It's an easy story for them if he does melt down, easy money but the good ones don't need to do that.

Smith was decent until ESPN got their NASCAR contract back and promoted him as their mouthpiece.

He was talking about it this AM and was insinuating that he could ruin Kurt Busch. He must have forgotten that without drivers, he wouldn't have a job.

Also, Bob Pockrass is an idiot too. They number of journalists in the NASCAR garage worth a flip are few and far between. Ask Tony Stewart.

Seems like Smith was going after this one. I do think Kurt probably could have handle it a little better, but it does seem like Smith was trying to get a rile out of Kurt. Why would Smith say "I'm not the one to mess with." That is just a dumb statement that almost seems like a threat to me.
