Do you own a home in South Asheville, LA. If you do, did you get your new tax valuation yet? I got mine yesterday. Mine went up 35%!! I don't blame you for looking outside of the county. Madison county's mighty pretty and always gets a lot more snow than Buncombe if you happen to like it.

No, we just moved here from La and Im renting an apt. I heard horror stories about Buncombe's taxes so we are trying to stay in a different area!!!! LOL I fell in love with Marshall and Mars Hill. It is sooooo beautiful!!!!! I also like Black Mtn. but its pretty high. I fell in love with a house today but Im still waiting on an insurance check so I dont know if it will happen!!!

Well, wishing you the best on your search. I agree with you that the Mars Hill-Marshall area is choice. The stories about Buncombe county taxes are horror facts, not stories.

Upon further review we might've got 1 or 2 inches, 3 tops.

My sleepy eyes were seeing 4 or 5 inches this morning, but when you get outside in it you realize there's not much there, lol.

snowing pretty good again right now... callin' for an addition inch or two tonight, which going off of last night's guestimations, should amount to a dusting.

It has been snowing here in Virginia ALL DAY. If it was about 10 degrees cooler today, we'd have about a foot of snow. For most of the day, it was just wet snow and it melted.

Nashville really didn't get much of anything to speak of. It kind of swirled around Nashville and Murfreesboro, but snowed everywhere else.

While it was raining or snowing, it wasn't cold enough to do much damage.

We got as much snow last night and this morning as we did the night before last when we were supposed to get 5 to 7 inches...

We probably had about 4 or 5 inches in Memphis by about 5:30 friday afternoon. Then it started sleeting and it just about all washed away. It snowed some more later in the night but we ended up with about two inches or so that was so wet you couldn't do much with it. Was still enought to go playing on the four wheelers that night.

i got about 4-5 inches over 2 days here in Dekalb Co, they closed schools for monday
Right there on the edge of the plateau and on up usually gets the best snow, IMO. I'm from Warren Co. It was nice to just get a little snow around town... if you really wanted to get out in it, the ridge is a few mins away. :D

Nashville, and even Knoxville are too low in elevation to get the good snow like Crossville. I bet Falls Creek Falls looks pretty cool right now...

We got a few flurries last night, enough to shut down school.

Not enough to shut down work, however.
