Couldnt cut it in the SEC but found success in the ACC. Glad for the guy. I will take Dobbs any day of the week.

Agreed, best fit for Butch's system. Looking forward seems JG will be the best option, skills wise. Hopefully, he wins the job outright over Dormady prior to the FL game. I hate to see JG get tossed into the fire at the Swamp, like NP.

He can thank the BSIA for coaching him.

The miss management here is sickening. Playoff talent fighting their way to the music city bowl

He was a mess here. Needed the change of scenery and it worked.

When he played here, he looked like Popky from Necessary Roughness. Glad he found success at Pitt. But don't discredit the fact that Pitt's line is far better than our line. Unless something changed this year, he still doesn't have enough range for the NFL.

Pitt has better OL, plays in a league not near as tough defensively.

This board and every Vol board buried the kid here. he got to start two games, @ Florida and vs #1 bama at Neyland.

And he's actually went to a place that's coached him up. There's that little part too.

And he aged 2 more years, went through 2 more Spring trainings, 2 more Fall camps, watched 2 more years of film, got 2 more years of coaching, and played 25 more full games.

You do realize that the SEC was 3-6 against the ACC this season, don't you? U.T. had one of the victories against Va. Tech.

SEC losers to ACC this year included LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, S.C., and Vanderbilt. The winners were U.T., Kentucky, and Georgia, who lost to Ga. Tech, but beat UNC.

Pitt is also the only school that beat Clemson this year, and the only school except Michigan to beat Penn State this year. It's not like they play Appy State every game.

If Peterman had stayed another season here, his parents would have had a uHaul parked in front of their house nightly and death threats weekly. Glad he was able to succeed at Pitt. Best for all involved. Also, if you had watched any Pitt games this year you would know that making him out to be Elway is a bit of a stretch.

I saw several of his games, and he appeared to be a serviceable qb. Not outstanding, but a decent fit for them.

That's a very fair assessment. He was a good fit for their offense and not asked to do too much.

Like throwing for 400 yards against one of the top teams in the country.

And while he was here, we was lucky if could even field the snap and hand the ball off.

I will give him credit for really good ball fakes, getting rid of the ball under duress, and good accuracy. I saw him make some mistakes, but they all make them.
