Nate Peterman Tops in ACC

Like throwing for 400 yards against one of the top teams in the country.

And while he was here, we was lucky if could even field the snap and hand the ball off.
Peterman has not thrown for 400 yds this season. His tops was against Clemson with 308 yds. And that defense is hardly "one of the tops in the country".

I don't get why this has to turn into an argument or a comparison. Can people just not be happy for Peterson that he got a second chance and did pretty well? Regardless of how or why, he wasn't a good fit here and made the decision to transfer instead of riding the bench. I don't think it makes him a quitter or anything, it was actually a smart decision because maybe he should have been at a place like Pitt the whole time.

Peterson is at Pitt, Dobbs is here, Ferguson is at Memphis, and all seem to have worked out pretty well. Looks like everyone won.

I am happy for all 3 of them.

Pitt has better OL, plays in a league not near as tough defensively.

This board and every Vol board buried the kid here. he got to start two games, @ Florida and vs #1 bama at Neyland.

They beat Clemson, which would have easily won the east.

You do realize that the SEC was 3-6 against the ACC this season, don't you? U.T. had one of the victories against Va. Tech.

SEC losers to ACC this year included LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, S.C., and Vanderbilt. The winners were U.T., Kentucky, and Georgia, who lost to Ga. Tech, but beat UNC.

Pitt is also the only school that beat Clemson this year, and the only school except Michigan to beat Penn State this year. It's not like they play Appy State every game.

People don't want to hear this.

It's easier to live under the guise that the SEC is the best conference and no one else stacks up. It makes Tennessee being mediocre easier to handle for some.

So what? The fact is, he couldnt cut it in the SEC. He went to the ACC and had a great career. Good for him. End of story.

Yep, sometimes kids need a change of scenery to thrive.

Austin Applebee couldn't cut it in the lowly Big10. Came to Florida, won himself an SEC division championship.

Like I said earlier, he had 2 more Spring camps, 2 more Fall camps, 2 more years of film study, 2 more years of coaching, and he got to start and play 25 more games. All that probably didn't hurt his progression from the time he left U.T.

Yes, their offense was quite the juggernaut. Don't know what they would've done without him...
