Nathan Peterman Practice Interview.

VolFan4Life87's point is that trashing Bray is unnecessary instating your admiration of Peterman.
Now, you say you're not going to miss Bray's emotionless demeanor on and off the field. yetthe fact you're harping on it says otherwise. if you're not going to miss it, why talk about it?

When Bray was doing his cocky cutthroat act, walking horse gait, and so forth, he was condemned. When he turned it down and acted quiet and controlled his mouth, people like you still damn him. He can't win either way.

There's stuff about the guy I didn't like either but it doesn't justify me to come in here or anywhere and declare him to cohort of demons. As a matter of fact, and though our season didn't go like we hoped, I thank him for suiting up. Had we a better defense, we'd have won probably 8 or more games. You'd likely then be singing Bray's praises in soprano and worshipping his bowel movements.

What I'm saying is, the guy is gone. We got new people we can appreciate (at least for now) without spouting hate about former players. If you're going to talk about former players recently gone, wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors. If my post seems harsh, it's because I'm just fed up with the repetitive can't let go harping about Bray and other departed players. It isn't needed.

Dude...get over it. You obviously love Bray...and that's ok. But your rant is not going to stop people from voicing their frustrations with Bray's 3 year "oh whatever" attitude on and off the field. I think he could have been one of the best....but he's not. And as you suggested....I did wish him the best!

OK. You win, let the pettiness continue. It's the VN way after all.

I like the idea of Peterman too. But i think too many people here are selling Worley short. You don't get to be Gatorade player of the year for nothing. As much as I hold no vendetta against Dooley, I don't think Worley was allowed to play to his strengths. He is by background a spread QB but was asked to be a pro style guy. Under Butch, Worley is going back to his roots. the only negative for him is possibly having a weaker arm than Peterman. So no Bray-like distance throwing but great at short and mid range. He will move the chains without being flashy or highlight work. Butch is a results orientated coach, and Worley will prove to be a results orientated QB. You guys are mistaken to think he's lost the job already.

I dare say that whoever is QB, Tennessee is in a enviable position. If one goes down we will have at least two if not more very suitable replacements. if we have a defense this year, we going to get some paybacks in several games.

Good point you have there. Look at how much Crompton sucked until he improved under Kiffin (UCLA, UGA). You never know what any of our players can do under the mentoring of a good coach, Worley included.

I read a story in which Crompton's parents gave credit to Sam Wyche for Jon's improvement. Wyche, whose brother Bubba was a qb for Tennessee in the early 70's, was a qb at Furman , and later coach of the Cincinnati Bengals when the went to the Super Bowl.

I typed several things here, and deleted them all.

Because honestly, I have no idea what's going to happen with the QB battle. I don't think Butch has a clue either. I mean, a Gatorade Player of the Year, the Best QB in Florida for his year, a 4.0 Aeronautical Engineering major who mastered his offense in HS in a single day, and a guy who has lost 2 games in his entire career. Oh and a guy who is walking on who set records in TN, and won at least 2 State Championships.

I mean, I would LOVE to say that I favor one of those guys....but I honestly don't see how we can lose with that kind of accomplishment, at least at the QB position.

This......I think we are in good hands with any QB we choose

I'm sorry, but I'm not going to miss Bray's emotionless demeanor on and off the field either. I wish him the best, but I'm looking forward to a QB with a competitive fire and leadership skills! Go Vols!

Thread is about Peterman so why is everyone bringing up Bray. He's gone and in the past. No Bashing former Vols! New Era!! :eek:k:

:good!:

I am glad Bray will no longer be under center for this team

You're entitled to your opinion. I don't give a damn if you like mine or not. Bray and his reactions on the sidelines, and his disrespect to the staff by watching his body language during the game, was a disease. And I am THRILLED his ass is gone.

What

Peterman reminds me of Tebow a lot. Similar charisma, bigger dual threat QB, looks similar, and a man of faith. Not saying we've got a Heisman Trophy guy, but this guy seems to have a lot of leadership capability.

Bigger dual threat?

I understand. You're a grudge holder. I hope your wife or future wife butters your biscuits the way you like, otherwise she's a goner.

In further news, Peterman sounds like he has no plans to be a backup. Whether he wins the QB battle or not, I can't see him riding the bench all season. I think he will see more than mop up duty. Very likely be put in as as change of pace and style QB. Which may be a very good idea in the Bamma, GA, and SC games.

Now, let's see if we can communicate without mentioning the sound a donkey makes. :peace2:

Beer bottle throwing. Jet ski ignorance. Skipping after game interview after loss. Hanging up the phone on Chaney during the game on the sidelines (resulting in being benched) Not watching game film after a terrible loss (doesn't qualify as a VOLUNTEER). Pitching a tantrum over coaches play calling. Disrespectful "I'm better than you" attitude.

You have a good point Woodenhead. I would throw my effin wife out on her ASS if she had this disease, and was teaching our kids to act this way. But that's just me.

I know I know... "Oh but Voldawg, he has such strong arms!"

That's all I'm going to say about it. You know I'm right! :)

Daddy loves you boy. Now go help your Mom pack her chit.

All these people bashing Bray (A soon to be NFL QB) in a Nathan peterman thread need to grow the hell up. Nobody cares about your negative opinions on a player, let alone one who isn't here anymore. He'll make more money in a month than most of us will in five years doing something he loves. If it weren't for the fact that half the haters act like 12 year old kids and know nothing about bills and money, I'd say you all were jealous that he's getting paid because he didn't live up to your impossible "Volunteer" expectations (With the greatest offense UT has ever had and the worst defense we have had. Numbers don't lie and all.)

...the only point he's trying to make is that this thread is about Nathan Peterman. So why are you talking about about anyone other than him, let alone bashing a former Vol, whether warranted or not?

I hope you're kidding.

Someone has an opinion so we're 12 year olds? So, I guess the coaches and all the NFL scouts are 12 year olds too? Dude was a head case. If you can't see that, then so be it.

Bray is gone. it's time to look to the future. We should have a great competition between two quarterbacks with a lot of potential. Whoever comes out on top will be behind a veteran offensive line. This will be a definite plus. If this o-line can push some people around, we will be fine offensively.
