I am so sick of reading this line. No one that gets to Omaha “folds”. Literally every season that ends in an Omaha appearance leads to a banner being hung or put on the outfield fence, at every school in America.
You are obviously clueless, too. They lost a game against one the top pitcher’s in America in Game 1, and they lost to a team that pushed the National Champions to the brink. Texas was the only higher seed than Tennessee left in the tournament. Not showing up would be more like Mississippi State in the SEC Tournament.
I guess that is one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is it is the furthest the baseball program has ever advanced, or at least in a very long time. So, you can either cry in your beer, or grow the support base from this season.
And at least Mississippi State took the win instead of Van-turd-bilt. Which might cause in state players to still look more favorably on playing in Knoxville instead of Nashville.
