UCLA didn't show up whatsoever...

Congrats to the Gators (my hatred is still palpable).

Florida didn't just win this tournament, they DOMINATED the entire tournament. The only team to play them close was Georgetown. Other than that, Florida beat everyone they faced by double digits.

Astounding play by Noah. You may think he's ugly to look at but the kid flat out took over that game. He deserves all the credit he is getting.

Go ye Mighty Gators!

UCLA should have stayed in the locker room.

I think the Vols could have played them better than UCLA did tonight. :biggrin2:

Whoda thunk it. The NIT Champs have a winning record against the National Champs.

Easy now . . . They deserve their props to be sure, but this is definitely a case where the bracket fell the right way for them. It's not like they ran through Duke, UConn and Villanova.

That being said - congratulations on the title.

thanks bro..didn't expect this kind of run this yr.

Now that they've accomplished their goal as a college player, don't you agree Noah, Horford, and Brewer should all declare for the NBA draft???

Beat Georgetown, Villanova and UCLA. Won 11 games in a row, including winning the SEC. I think Florida can lay claim right now to being undisputed national champions.

All timing. Florida lost itself there for a bit in early February. But they play the tourney in March and that is when Florida got hot.

I wish they wouldn't but I think they will.

I think Noah better go while the gettin' is good. His stock is not going to get much higher. He moves well and is a great defender. One more year in college is not going to cause him to magically become a long range threat.

To be honest, I found myself pulling for the Gators. UCLA has 11 National Championships, the Gators now have one, UCLA was the media favorite all throughout the tournament. Congrats Gator posters.Enjoy it.

Maybe for the Final Four... but I wouldn't say the whole tournament...

UCLA? Media favorite? How about at no point were they the media favorite. You had the MVC teams, George Mason, Duke, UConn, LSU and Gonzaga. Nobody liked UCLA because of that ugly style of ball they played. Especially the media. They wanted ratings, so they either wanted George Mason as a cinderella or a team with stellar athleticism in there such as UConn or LSU.

All said... Congrats to the Gators.

Nah, in the Final Four you have to realize that most were rooting for George Mason.

Milo -- the day has come that I feared. You've been a Vol for so long that you believe the media (ESPN in particular) is against your team. :biggrin2:

UCLA got a ton of love right before the tourney. Many "analysts" had them in the Final Four and beyond. Memphis was the team that got dissed in that region. UCLA may not have been a media favorite once the tourney started but they certainly received much (deserved) praise.

Big step in becoming a Vols fan, huh?

Fear the ESPN conspiracy :ninja:

Nah, I just watch plenty of ESPN and I didn't feel the love for UCLA all that much. Yeah, when you get down to the Elite 8 and Final 4 every team is gonna get some positive words about them, because of the fact that there's only 8 teams and 4 teams left to talk about at that point.
