NBA Playoffs

The Suns aren't done. Thankfuly it's only a one game suspension for thier two guys who shouldn't have been suspended at all. They might lose game 5 but they'll be okay. I saw the Duncan and Bowen leaving the bench incident, they should be gone for a game. I can understand if you leave the bench and start throwing punches or pushing guys around but you should be allowed to go check/protect your teammates when they get body checked over a table!

I can't believe Tony and Mike didn't bring that up to Stern when they had him on the show for nearly 8 minutes today.

I did see where they mentioned it/discussed it on Inside the NBA on TNT last night at least.

Dan Patrick was in a pretty heated discussion about it all today on ESPN Radio with David Stern. Dan brought up the fact that Duncan left the bench earlier durring the game durring a small incident. Stern said they reviewed it and they (the NBA) didn't see Duncan's bench clearing as a threat....Dan flat out asked him if the NBA wants the Spurs to win it all...lol....

Doesn't matter, I will be amazed if the winner of the Suns-Spurs series can take it past 5 against the Jazz, for two reasons

1) The Jazz are no joke, they have a good team and are fully capable of winning a 7 game series against either team.
2) The winner of the Suns/Spurs series will be unable to rebound from one of the most physical series I think I have ever seen. Jerry Sloan is a good enough coach to exploit it.

With all that said, I think this is Sloan's last and best opportunity to coach an NBA champion, and he has circumstance to thank for it.

Another prediction

The Suns win tonight, even without Amare and Boris
The Spurs win game 6.

Your guess is as good as mine for game 7. If Horry hits a shot to win it, I may puke

That's a joke. He flat out told Tony and Mike on PTI that it wasn't really about the spirit of the rule/threat of escalation, it was about the letter of the rule. The letter of the rule clearly states leaving the bench.

Stern apparently changed his tune between Dan Patrick's show and PTI then, because I am pretty sure I heard the same thing that RT heard when listening to DP.

I'd just like to point out the fact that Dan Patrick is an antagonistic dweeb shouldn't be lost in all of this. That is all.

Better than most of the ass-kissing you hear from everybody else on ESPN. Jim Rome, Tony and Mike, Mike and Mike in the Morning, SportsCenter... None of them do anything but the softest of interviews.

I just refuse to listen to Patrick because of all the Yankees crap from KO's piehole that fills the rest of the airtime.
