UNC will not be a factor long. Fedora was told 8 wins was a must. He will be fortunate to get half. Brown, Crouch, Howell and Brown will be Vols imo.

Fedora shoulda jumped ship when he had the chance.

I’m sure we’ll battle with Dabo and Muschamp for those guys. Bet we’ll win a couple

Yes, he desperately wanted the UF or ND jobs, but when he bombed the season that they lost to SC and Baylor in the bowl game, that took off all the luster he had built from Butch Davis recruits.

Hate we lost Howell, but apparently he wasn't the QB build we are looking for offensively. I would be surprised still if we didn't land Crouch and Brown both.

I think Tennessee will land multiple players from North Carolina. Pruitt’s staff has made the state of North Carolina a high priority to this point, and while Tennessee still is awaiting its first commitment from the Tar Heel State in the 2019 class, the Vols’ efforts there seem likely to pay off in the long run.

All signs point to the Vols having a legitimate shot at landing some of their top targets in North Carolina in the 2019 class. That includes five-star athlete Quavaris Crouch of Charlotte, N.C., and four-star Charlotte wide receiver Khafre Brown, the younger brother of North Carolina freshman receiver Dyami Brown. Some close to Brown’s recruitment believe his decision could come down to the Tar Heels and Tennessee in the end.

The Vols also are strong contenders for three-star defensive end/linebacker Terrell Dawkins of Concord, N.C., four-star cornerback Tyus Fields of Cornelius, N.C., three-star linebacker Derek Boykins of Concord, N.C., and three-star cornerback Shyheim Battle of Rocky Mount, N.C. And they’re still in the running for three-star offensive tackle Triston Miller of Charlotte, elite defensive end Savion Jackson of Clayton, N.C., four-star defensive tackle C.J. Clark of New London, N.C., and three-star linebacker Drake Thomas of Wake Forest, N.C., among others.

Tight ends coach Brian Niedermeyer and quality control analyst Montario Hardesty, a former Tennessee running back and North Carolina native, are among the coaches who have helped the Vols build some strong relationships in North Carolina over the past several months. It appears they could pay big dividends in the coming months.

Keyton, Brown and Currie would be a great wr haul. Just doesn’t seem like our coaches think the guys in state are that good. I’m okay with that.

I think if the talent in state is good you need to make them a priority. Reason for that is other teams like Bama, LSU, and Ga can depend on their in state talent to make up a good part of their class. If the talent in Tn is good it would be nice to depend on them and not have to go head to head with Ga for their best players.

But if the talent isn’t that good, then who cares? Get the best you can.

I wondered when this name would pop back up, especially with all of the Crouch talk.

This kid likes him some UT and also said he thinks Crouch comes here.
