I am in a bigger fog than normal on what the staff's PREFERRED pecking order for this position is. Quite an array of guys still being kicked around when you include the flip candidates. I start to lean towards MY OWN preferences based on current player and commit interaction activity levels folks post on here, but I have not seen any tipping signals to guide me. I just hope the staff gets the quantity of guys they feel are solutions for our DL. Ability and FIT is hard to assess from afar. I think fit is big for this staff.

A good coach has to prove they can develop before they get good recruits. Butch was the exception.

The investigation and negative recruiting as a result has hampered Heupel and staff. They've still done pretty darn good on the trail considering what they were up against.

Tennessee was a dumpster fire for years; exciting part is the coals are just now getting warm for Florida.

Tennessee is definitely still trying with Amaris Williams, and I think there has been some decent communication there that would suggest the door is maybe still open for the Vols to some degree despite his commitment to Florida.

Staying on the DL, the Vols continue to have consistent dialogue with Florida commit Amaris Willams. He still plans to visit at some point this fall. We wouldn’t rule out one of Tennessee’s next two home games, but nothing is currently set in stone.
