'25 NC DL Isaiah Campbell

That's probably due to the destruction of I26 so it's back roads. I was able to get from Charlotte to Knoxville when I was stationed at Bragg in 3 1/2... That was cruising at 78-80 mph
Charlotte and Raleigh aren't really close, though (2 hour drive). And you don't take I26 to get to Knoxville from Raleigh. You take I40 thru Asheville, which is currently closed. Still, even when open, it's 5 hours, Raleight to Knoxville, going that route.

I knew 40 is between Asheville and Knoxville so I don't know why I had 26 on my mind other than they're both damaged. but I'm just referencing the split there where 40 and 26 meet. I must have been flying but most the time I went back through late so roads were empty. Not necessarily a fair assessment to normal traffic. Either way it's a 40 minute flight

Do you know what "lame duck" means? No one currently cares that Mack Brown won a NC 19 years ago when he's lost 4 straight and gave up 70 points to James Madison. He might not get fired this year but he's 73 years old and most likely won't be there the whole time Campbell would be there.

"Huge" Vols fan but attacks others and calls your own fanbase "white trash". You also picked Alabama to win last weekend I bet. You seem like a real tough guy!
He clearly doesn't know what "lame duck" means. Also doesn't know what "bask" means. Cannot do math: UNC stadium is only 10,000 (not 25,000) seats larger than Vandy. He sounds like a Bama fan the way he projects the accurate description of Bama fans on to our fan base. That's heinous. And over a disagreement about a UNC team that no one cares about, while defending a claim he is completely wrong about. He really stretched far and without reason to work his own white trash comment about Bama's "white trash" fan base into his post as an insult. Then he wants to fight. I would bet you're correct that bruh picked Bama to win.

Tennessee killed it last weekend with Isaiah Campbell. The Vols have all the momentum in this one and as of Thursday, we aren’t sure he will take the UNC visit. Campbell and his family have known Jaylen Wright’s family for a bit and so they have had a great resource on how the culture is in Knoxville behind the scenes. Tennessee defensive line coach Rodney Garner went to see Campbell on Thursday and things continue to trend very well there as we reach late October.

Mack Brown won a national championship at Texas, not UNC. I doubt very much the administration at UNC cares about a title he won somewhere else. And despite the talented QBs you mentioned, how many ACC titles has he won since returning to UNC? The fact is, he's struggling. I'm not going to pretend I know what UNC is going to do. I have no idea how much they value football. But I do know UNC is not a great football school.

This is Brown's 6th season since returning to UNC. They've made bowl games every season thus far, but they've lost 4 straight in those bowl appearances. In 5 seasons he's finished with a winning conference record twice. They're currently 0-3 in the conference this season. So pretending like Brown is still a great coach is ludicrous. If UNC values football, it's not beyond reason that they could look to replace him after this season. It's also not beyond reason to think he may finally retire.
Tar Heel alumnus (1985) here. Vol MBA alumnus (1990) as well. Mack left UNC for Texas, good move for him. The alums at UNC and Texas are somewhat similar, but the UNC alums wanted him back just so that they could feel relevant. No way UNC would ever challenge for a football natty. Home football games are just for alumni and frat boys on beautiful afternoons. It's a social thing in my opinion. He needs to retire because UNC struggles to get in-state blue chips unless they are legacies. It's much more fun supporting the Vols in the Fall.

I take I 26 when I go to to Asheville and Greensboro because, although it is about 20minutes longer, the drive is much easier and pleasant than taking I 40. I have been taking that route for about the last ten years and arrive much more relaxed and refreshed.

If UNC valued football they would not have hired Mack Brown the second time around.

Hiring new coaches in major CFB is a crapshoot. What are we, post-Fulmer...1 for 5? He was known commodity, but nobody ever expected nattys out of him. He flipped Sam Howell from FSU immediately and then later Drake Maye from Alabama. They played some entertaining football (perhaps without consideration for defense) for a few years and quickly rose to a "decent" level from the despair of Fedora. He was brought in to unite the alumni, steady the ship, and stock the cupboard a little bit. His first few years were very successful from a recruiting standpoint. Mack's clearly grown tired and UNC isn't ready for the a robust NIL game (at least not in football). UNC football can be fun but it's more of a pleasant afternoon for alumni and undergrads as a previous poster said. It's not the same in any way as UT. But I would say Mack accomplished what the admin wanted. Are they serious about football? We'll see with the next hire but I doubt it.
