'25 NC DL Isaiah Campbell (Tennessee)

He looks like a 5 yr NFL vet, not an 18 yr old
we got a couple dudes this year who just look the part. I forget which one it was but either Dye or Loften is just one of those dudes that is yoked, with huge wing spans, and looks NFL ready in high school. Always seemed like those types were going to the OSU/Bama/Georgias but now we are getting some.

That's Dye. And yes....dude looks like he's ready for the NFL combine right now.

On3 just gave him the 5 star ranking. He is also just on the fringe of a 5 star rated as the 34th overall player in 247 sports. Our recruiting has gotten much better. He is a stat, 2021- 31% of players blue-chip. 2022- 43% blue chip, 2023- 46% blue-chip. 2024- 57% blue-chip. 2025 prospects- 62% blue-chip with 2 five stars and 12 players in the On3 top 100.

Definitely trending in the right direction. I read or heard where OSU bluechip ratio was 90%, Bama 88%, etc.
That's incredible. Is that right?

And yet, Tennessee was 3-2 against those schools last year. 1-1 vs. the top 2.

Yeah with Rodney Garner consistently closing all these top tier DLs like he has for a long time, before and after NIL, I still don't buy that our recruiting/transfer classes are middle of the SEC because we keep getting outbid... I'm not saying it doesn't happen every once and a while, but Garner has demonstrated to me that we can close top tier talent across all positions at Tennessee if we had decent closers.

Makes me wonder where our classes would be ranked if he wasn't here.

One could argue both of the top 2 closers on staff are on the DL (RG and Chop). Need that kind of recruiting intensity and push for better talent elsewhere imo
