You’re assuming he could get into Duke? I don’t know if that’s true. Does he have an offer from them?

He doesn’t want to go to med school, so he’s not interested in Duke. I have no idea if they offered him or not. I don’t care. Like every other school, admission requirements for athletes are lower at Duke than for normal students.

Depends where he wants to be after football. Duke network is going to be stronger in the northeast. I’d probably prefer UNC to Duke for a better overall college experience if having the best possible school prestige wasn’t my sole factor.

If staying close to home in state, a good college experience and playing for a team that is normally decent at football, particularly defense, are factors then NC State should be his pick. I still think we land him....family will have no problem catching flights to see him play with the NIL money he will get and he will be coached by the best, play in the best conference, make the playoffs and get lots of exposure. Plus, we lose a lot on the DL this year.

Duke is one of the 3 most beautiful campuses I've ever seen. It puts UNC's campus to shame...and UNC has a nice campus.

I disagree. Duke's campus is nice but not particularly large and Durham is a sh**hole ghetto. NC State's campus is much closer to everything Raleigh has to offer as a city and their fans actually care about football. Girls there are the best out of the schools in the triangle, too.

He was being respectful to UNC but he wants to major in business and play high level football. Pretty obvious to me that we are the pick. Why the hell else would he come for the UTEP game. UNC is a smokescreen and he is also trying to not alienate his NC friends. Only reasonable choice in the RDU area is NC State and he hasn't mentioned them at all that I'm aware of.
