funny that NC fans were all complaining Mack Brown was too old and needed to retire and Belichick is only like 8 months younger at 72 then Brown at 73 yrs old. I might be wrong but I don't see HS kids having a connection with a 72 soon to be 73 yr old coach so he will need to hire some great recruiters as coaches on his staff imo.

I see this as a potential disaster hire if they go through with this because dealing with grown men 26-40 yrs old is a lot different then dealing with 17-24 yrs olds and Belichich is old school and kids today are different and wanted to be treated with kid gloves. He has never coached college football before so he has no clue.

If he wants to be a high draft pick then no one gives him a better opportunity than UT and Garner. The way UT rotates should be highly attractive to DLs. They play enough to put quality on film. They don't play so much that they risk injury or get worn down to a point of not making good plays.

I imagine he would only improve under Garner
