'25 NC OT David Sanders (Tennessee)

Carson Beck is the odds on favorite to win the Heisman...

So uh, yeah. I think that probably disproves his theory.

I’m not sure I understand what you’re saying, but Beck will be gone before Sanders takes the playing field.

I’ve been following this guy and it’s the primary reason I’m here. I can’t try to follow all the recruits, but it’s winding down and I really hope we can top off this class by adding Mr. Sanders.

Seems like the tOSU mod is confidant.

Lettermen Row isn’t going to waste any time here. Five-star Plus+ Charlotte (N.C.) Providence Day offensive tackle David Sanders is going to be in this [mock] class. The Buckeyes have been a force in this recruitment down the stretch.

I think both OSU and UT mods will "feel good" about their position with him all the way to the day of commitment, and some Nebraska mod or some other school's (Colorado, Oregon, Clemson) mod will come out of nowhere to say they made a push to up the drama even more

it's going to be a whirlwind until the day of. not meaning the recruitment will be a whirlwind, but the reporting on it is gonna go crazy. this site said this, the other site said that, the storylines will go insane on their own

Completely agree @BigSteve09 gotta generate those clicks. David and his family have handled his recruitment very well.

I just don’t buy any developing stories from anyone about this dude at the moment. This just seems like a perfect time for OSU guys to report they’re in the lead at one month out from announcing. A lot can happen in a month.
So if they are FOS and it doesn’t sound good for them in the final days, they can always fall back on the “UT made a big NIL offer” to save face. I’m also wrong all the time, though. Who knows.

By the way, I also believe UT has a solid group of guys that don’t fall into this category of misinforming on where recruits stand at the moment in order to generate more clicks.

I would guess both schools are making a rather large NIL offer

Not disagreeing with that. That’s kind of my point. In this new NIL world, being a month out for the #1 OT, it’s easy for a team that does well in recruiting to make updates about how they now lead even if they’ve heard nothing new. It’s way too early, so it doesn’t hurt their reputation.

They could also have upped their offer, see Oregon.

From Rivals:

The No. 1 offensive lineman in the 2025 Rivals250 is set to make his college decision on August 17. Sanders Jr. took official visits to Georgia, Tennessee, Nebraska, South Carolina, Ohio State and Clemson over the summer, and this race is boiling down to Ohio State, Georgia, Tennessee and Nebraska. Since official visits wrapped up in June, there's been elevated confidence in Columbus about the Buckeyes' chances of landing Sanders. Until further notice, I've viewed Ohio State as the program in the driver's seat.

Prediction: Ohio State

lol, so the rivals writer is basing his prediction off of elevated confidence in Columbus. I.e. the OSU writer saying he feels good about Sanders yesterday, 5 days after Wiltfong “gives the slight edge to OSU, and wouldn’t be shocked at all if UT was the pick”. No wonder rivals has taken a backseat

Don't hop out on the ledge just yet. They know as much as anybody else, which is not much. Let's see how this ends before we toss ourselves headlong over the edge into the abyss.
no ledge. I hope we get him. But i'm not worried. It will suck only in as much as he is a damn good prospect. But if we hve to portal, so be it. Jedi.

Apparently taking a visit(s) next week. Don't know where yet.

Next week the college football recruiting dead period ends and schools can host prospects for a week. The 6-foot-6, 280-pound Sanders will be one of the guys back on the road to see a finalists or two.

“We’re in the process of getting all the dates in order and we’ll talk to David and see where he wants to go for the last final impression,” Sanders’ mother Samantha said.

“If he has the opportunity to get to more than one we want to.”

Not sure if he picks us or OSU, but it will be nice when we don’t have to work so hard for top tier recruits. UT has been on him hard and doing so much for well over a year and a half. OSU kind of swoops in the last few months and pretty much looks like the slight favorite for now. All the top schools ( UGA, Bama, OSU) seem to not have to work as hard for so long for some of these guys.
