View attachment 184260lol, well, we'll eithier find out in the next day or two....or we won't.
there's still loop holes to the hard cap. they're just not as big as they used to be. the big one being you can still count forward. it's not as easy to back count now, but you can still do it.This is year 2 of the hard count rule and like 10 teams have broken it. So obviously it's a toothless rule
So how many of the 27 players Clemson has signed so far have not taken an OV to Clemson? From what we have been told, the only way to go over 25 signed is to Blue Shirt players and count them forward. So, some of these Clemson players that have signed on ESD must be planning to pay their own way in Summer or just show up in the Fall. They would have not taken an "Official" visit and not been visited by coaches off campus.
Maybe if you have players that take medical retirement such as Antonutti did, you can take over 25 in one class. I'm not sure anymore with the latest rule changes.
I listen to clemson radio (Mickey Plyler Show) on the way to work here in Greenville. Thursday morning on their morning show they have Paul Strelow on (Clemson Rivals guy). He talked about Crouch. Nothing ground breaking. Said that the post by clemson social media yesterday was a mistake for sure. He didnt know details but said it was a mistake and it happened with 2 more players as well. He said UT has done a great job and it was his belief that if Crouch sighed LOI this week he would favor UT. If he waits then he says anything could happen.
there's all that and managing the total 85 number as well. you can't go alll willy nilly with it, but Clemson has undersigned a couple of classes, so they have some room on the total most likely, which would make counting forward easeir...in theory. don't know any details on them to say one way or hte other. From what we have been told, the only way to go over 25 signed is to Blue Shirt players and count them forward.
