Throughout his recruitment, I would say he has tried to avoid the spotlight.

We have Gray coming in and he looks to be a beast based on his film.

Crouch would make a great LB and he could be exactly what we’re missing on defense. Big nasty LB who loves to hit people.

I am not sure “the spotlight” means what you think it means especially considering he has pretty much avoided it

Pruitt and Sherrer are going to make this guy a top ten pick. He has so much potential as a linebacker and it’s pretty much untapped. In interviews he talks about how he loves criticism and learning how he can get better. Gonna be special (barring injury of course)

At first he was heavily thought of and recruited as a RB; however, he expressed interest in playing LB and we were selling him on the idea of playing defense which originally got our foot in the door. After the injury it seemed like he leaned hard on the idea of being a LB and some people are postulating that it is due to the injury and he doesn't want to get hit and would instead be the one hitting.
