'19 NC RB Quavaris Crouch (Tennessee signee)

Why would beating a ranked SEC West opponent, and periannual recruiting trail nemesis hurt us?
I don't think he's saying it hurt us... he's just saying we've lost ground on Crouch to the point he doesn't see yesterday mattering.

Which sucks, cause I'm a big fan of either side of the ball Crouch plays on.

TWSS? 😬

My belief is each class has about 5 top notch HB's (Bama types). After Bama LSU and UGA get 4 /5. Then rest of us vie for that last feller. IOW, there's other options.

Quite hinestly i dont get too worked up about this ish, esp at RB. QB is another matter. Let's get Gray, a QB, and defensive players. We have a RB already.

Super athlete... That's spent a good portion of the last, what, 18 months rehabbing? And is injured again?

No matter where he goes, it will have been almost 2 years since he's played meaningful football...
Yeah. I’d love to sign him, but the whole time he’s here I’ll be worried about the next injury. And we saw how time off in HS really helped Khalil.

Nothing against this kid personally but if I were a coach I would not recruit a kid with consistent injury issues period. They do appear to often continue those trends in college.

I get what you guys are saying; but, the same was being said about J Hurd. He went out his first game of Sr yr, missed the rest of season, and he was good to go. Maybe the time off has helped Crouch heal fully, especially that hip.

But, again, I understand the concerns.

yep. and while i'd still take him, i would certainly understand if we shelved him for at least a year to get his body ready for the future. i wouldn't expect him to be an immediate contributor, though i'm sure we're selling playing time.

I’m thinking redshirt with the right S&C program would be the right thing for him.

I mean, I hope his injuries are behind him and he balls out wherever he goes, just not if he were to play against us.

I may be totally wrong here, but it seems to me he may be saving himself (injury wise) for college. Then when he's in college, will he be saving himself for the $$$ of the NFL?

Anybody remember Bryce Brown?

i don't get that impression. i think he's fully aware of the toll football takes on the body...but i don't get the idea that he's gonna shy away from anything.

i mean, at some point, if you're going to be that type of player, you actually have to have some production to get there.

i do think he wants to be in as good a shape as possible headed to college. no one wants their identity to be "injury prone".

You recruit athletes. Can’t worry about injuries too much. For every bad case there’s a frank gore that gets healthy and never has another issue
