NCAA FB Line discussion..(gambler thread)

Only one big bet this weekend with the Longhorns. Glad I wasnt insane for betting big on that one.

But have you all noticed that there seems to be alot of good bets out there this year?? The Texas one for example. I mean there seems to be 5 to 10 games every week where you feel good about putting your cash on it.

I took Texas last week and won that game, but overall I feel like week 2 was the best week so far. It seemed like I was just taking candy from a baby.

What happens as the season goes along is that I'll always see games that I like, but just fewer. So in week 2 there might have been 15 games I LOVED. In week 5, there will be 3 or 4 maybe.

Co-sign this.

I also like:
UTEP-9.5 vs. Memphis
UNLV-7.5 vs. New Mexico
UGA +2 at Miss St.

What do y'all think about Bama-7 at Arky?
I like all of your plays, especially Memphis game. Been looking at that one all day long. Seems to me Stanford wins by two touchdowns.

What do you all think about the Thursday nite game

The U (-3) at Pitt??

I have a rule against betting on Dave Wannstedt. And I'm also not inclined to wager too too much on jacorrible.

I'd take the U with a gun to my head.

To the poster above me who advised to "take the points": dude, there are only 3 of them to take. Anything below 3.5 I tend to look at as a de facto pick'em.

i'd probably take pitt, but i too will not bet on wannstedt. harris is a truly horrible road qb.

The Friday Nite game is

TCU (-18) vs. SMU

Huge game for June Jones. They cant get anybody to any football games this year. Heard they are averaging 32,000.

TCU is a great team no doubt about it. But I am thinking SMU plays their hearts out. I am taking the points....

Idaho at -7.5, Oregon St. Boise St. over 53.5, Alabama -7 all better bets than Pitt Miami. Also scared of SMU TCU

Have you all ever been to a game at SMU?? Ha!
Saw them play in Texas Stadium with Reggie Dupard at tailback. Saw them play Tulsa at their new place while I was in town for a Mavs game. I've seen them play a handful of basketball games in their on campus bandbox. Good enough for you?

Yeah Hat I know you got big balls....All Credentials...

Who you takin brother????

I got SMU.

You got to weigh in on....

I think this one is easy.

What is the biggest line you all have seen??

Check out the E Michigan vs. Ohio State (-44)!!

Why not take them points and have a good time??? Forty freakin four?? Take Alcoa vs. TN for 44!!

TCU is vastly superior, but if I had to play that game I'd be inclined to think Jones' offense can generate enough points to keep it within 18.

On a side note, I'm not sure why everyone is so confident about Stanford rolling Notre Dame.
