NCAA FB Line discussion..(gambler thread)

MSU's looking good though

Yeah, MSU came through for me. My gut told me to put the 50 on them instead of UT, but I didn't think UT getting 11 would roll over and take it like they did today.

Layin' $50.00 on the Saints tomorrow -7 and calling it a weekend.

Just bit me right in the ass too. This has been a very tough week.

Well, it is that time of the year again.. Thank God.

Lines for Thursday night.

Miss State (-28) @ Memphis
Kentucky (18.5) @ Western Kentucky
Wake Forest (-6.5) @ Syracuse
UNLV @ Wisconsin (-35.5)

I am taking MissState and Kentucky both.

The other early games, I am not so sure about.

Good luck this year everybody, and lets make some money.

I don't gamble, but for Thursday I'd take:

MSU -28
UK -18.5

Friday, TCU (-6.5) is a safe bet to cover vs. Baylor.

Saturday:

Utah State (+22.5) vs. Auburn. Utah State won't win but they'll help show the massive cracks in an extremely depleted Auburn team by keeping it within two scores.
Michigan (-14) vs. Western Michigan. Other than the coaching change, why is the line this small? WMU will probably be bowl eligible, but that's not saying much.
South Carolina (-20.5) vs. East Carolina. Unless Alshon Jeffery ate SC's defense along with everything else at the school, look for a similar result to the Military Bowl ECU was in vs. Maryland in 2010 (51-20 loss).

Nice call on TCU..

What is amazing, is Vanderbilt is only a (-11.5) against Elon at home. That says alot about how handicappers see Vandy.

I think Vandy is going to cover that one easily. Surely!

I hate betting on Notre Dame games, just took over 47 but I feel like the mafia influences their games sometimes.

I like how on Gameday when Corso said they would cover "they'll cover, they'll win by 11" everybody was like what does cover mean.

I think the over might be a good play in a lot of games today.

Did well last weekend, collected 25 on each of Michigan, LSU, and UT. Cashed well on the Packers game last night too.

About to spend the morning at the office studying the upcoming weekend.

Same thing I am doing right now..

Has anyone placed any Future bets on NFL total wins?

Looked at the JETS schedule, at the time their O/U win total was 9.5, so I took that for 100.00. They should be able to pull 10 wins out of it even if they lose twice to the Pats, but I think they will split again.

Let's see...this week, I'd take:

Oregon (-26.5) vs. Nevada. Nevada without Kaepernick will not be able to compete with teams that have much more talent than them, like Oregon. Plus, Oregon just took one on the chin from LSU so expect them to be very motivated to blow out Nevada.
Texas (-7) vs. BYU. The jury's still out on Texas, but I can easily see their defense making Jake Heaps' day a rough one. BYU was lucky to win against an Ole Miss team that's looking at 6-6. How will they do against a team like Texas that has much more talent?
UConn (+2) vs. Vandy. Because seriously, when does Vandy ever win games like this?

Also, Iowa (-7.5) over Iowa State. I'll be surprised if it's not at least a 20 point Hawkeyes victory.

so an 0-2 ND team that has look less than mediocre is favored by 3.5 over a very good Michigan State team that is 2-0. Is this to pull out the sucker bets, or is vegas just a catholic town?

I dont even see this as a close game. MSU by 10+.
(Ive been wrong before, but not often)
