NCAA Hearing Question

I was one of Bruce's biggest supporters and also was one of the first of said fans to admit he should be gone, but he deserves a second chance. I believe he will do everything necessary to obtain it, his second chance. Anything else proffered is just plain bull****.

I hope he coaches again just to see hat whine about it.

UW Milwaukee and UT was his second chance. There's a reason he spent 9 years at Southern Indiana before getting a D1 job.

Some guys do get a third chance, but his resume is full of red flags at this point.

There's no denying that Bruce will coach again. The question is whether he can get a head job at a BCS conference type school any time soon or if he might as well be hepititis as far as AD's go and if his name will ever be announced by a big school. My bet would say he will probably become a victim of circumstance. I think that if a big school needs someone with awkward timing(ie: Dooly's hire type timing) I think a few moments of OH S**T will lead to a desperation phonecall and Bruce will do well for a while and then we'll probably watch history repeat itself and that school will get far more severe sanctions compared to us.

He'll make a great full time analyst for the next few years though and since he claims to be VFL, hopefully he will be pimping our program on TV nationwide instead of our recruits living rooms. He could help us on air, who knows. Kinda crazy scenario if he ends up on CBS like Phil...

He will be another Dana Kirk IMO and fall into obscurity.

Kirk is not a point for comparison. The only reason Dana Kirk never coached again is because he went to prison for tax evasion. Teams will hire a known cheater if they think they can get by with it. A convicted felon is a different story.

I did like the thought of Pearl coming back and coaching at Towson next. That would absolutely kill him. But at least it would mean he could match up with Morgan State and Todd Bozeman every year. They could compare notes on cheating and bimbos.

After the Pat Kennedy fiasco, I doubt Towson in going the "Fallen Major Coach" route for a while.

I didn't think this question deserved it's own thread and pardon if it's been asked and answered elsewhere. I notice that we're in the process of signing maybe 4 new players. What happens if we get docked maybe 2 schollys for a couple years. Does that mean we can only take two in this class? If not, what happens next year? What if we appeal like USC did, and we keep filling our classes in anticipation?

The penalties won't be retroactive, so they wouldn't affect this signing class. Any sanctions would take effect for the years after they become final. There is some dispute about whether or not an appeal acts as a stay on the sanctions, but the consensus seems to be that the NCAA would not go back and make a school drop players they've already signed.

I would, and do. Hat sometimes as in this case provides good information. It is not in response to my queries, since he pretends he cannot read them. I am still wondering why he claimed that Kruger (his personal friend) was not interested in the TN job because we would not pay enough, when Kruger took 2.2 million, a figure that is not much more than we offered a different coach who turned us down.
