I know: I think Weimer has some promise as a hitter, but she's not a good enough catcher, it doesn't seem, to play her regularly unless she is really having good at bats. She did look good in a few games when she got a chance to play--but tailed off at the end of the season and then you as a coach have to decide if it is worth having a less talented defensive catcher in the game. I think not.

Rowland gets a hit--the first for the bottom of our lineup and her first in quite a while. Way to go! Despite her struggles, I like the way Rowland handles herself at the plate. I I still think she's got a lot of potential. Just getting confidence is a big deal. Wow, Vines is really dialed in tonight--she has belted the ball three straight at bats.

Great game by Moss. Career record 10 Ks.

Now......how amazing is this? Monica Abbott AVERAGED 11.8 Ks a game for her career. AND she averaged 360 innings a year, which is 50 more than Moss and Arnold have combined to throw this year. You wonder how her arm didn't fall off after 4 years of that. Go Vols!

Armchair if you look at Rowland, Lockman, Bearden and Geer at the plate they would be two righties and two lelfties who look like hitters. I will give Rowland a little more leeway than Lockman and Bearden since this is her first year but as my daddy used to say " Looks aint everything!!!:shaking2::moon2:

Were the road team today don't know how that was decided but we'll bat first which is always a disadvantage as far as I'm concerned.

Do we switch dugouts or is that not necessary? This is a big game. Need Arnold to be good today.

I'm guessing Arnold will start. I hoped we would run rule Longwood and minimize the pitch count. Matty was very efficient last night -- around 100 pitches-- so she can relieve Arnold, if needed.

The lack of production from 5-8 is concerning. Still, most of Upstate's late scoring was due to OSU's comedy of errors. Would love to see us start aggressive and put this one away early. It's already hot and muggy.

All year long 5-8 has been a problem. Wont change the rest of the tourney much I don't think. As the top goes so goes the Ladies. Arnold in my opinion is the key to this whole tournament. Matty as the most sharp I have ever seen her. She threw 15 first pitch strikes and hit the corners well. Her main problem is giving up the long ball about every game. Our offense is what it is and again probably wont change . Cant win a game if you don't score!!:)

Terrible start for the LVs. We'll be incredibly lucky if they don't bring in some runs.

Just got cheated out of two runs. Girl never touched home plate got tagged out by Arnold.
Worst I have ever seen need to take that film all the way to the NCAA office Umpire needs to be fired for that call.

These announcers are salivating for Upstate to win.

And the LVs have one of their worst starts this year. Our heads are not in this game.
