I think Hillmon is their tallest starter at 6' 2". I doubt that they have face a team wth our height and I think we can slow Hillmon down. As someone else mentioned, they are without their starting point guard also.
I think we win by about 10-12.
Per their roster, they have 4 ladies at 6'3+", but i don't know if they see much playing time...We have to be strong in the paint today in order to pull out the victory..."Shine n Grind 4 Nine time" LET'S GO!!! 🤟💪🧡

So based on watching Hillmon's 50 point highlights, she didn't possess any sort of midrange, or jump shot at all. She seems to be quick, so that will be something we will want to put a check on with our bigs. Our bigs are probably slower than her. I wonder if we put someone a little faster on her?

I think we are more likely to play a zone and just pack it in on her. No room to operate she’ll have a tough time. In a man to man Rennia is probably a better matchup against her but that then means Tamari or Kasi has to guard a perimeter player and we know that doesn’t work for us.

Again, it is according what LV team shows up today. Michigan is very physical and we need to be just as physical as they are. Davis and Burrell need to get started early and we need to control the paint. Our bigs need to refrain from bringing the ball down low in the paint when they are trying to score. Michigan gang rebounds to make up for their lack of height. That being said, the LVs can prevail as long as they hold down the turnovers, control the paint and please no passes to players surrounded by two and three opponents. There is also another player on Michigan’s team, I can’t remember her name, but she shoots real well. We will need to defend her well or she will go off. I believe that we have the better team, however, we must play like it. I believe the LVs win by between four and ten points and move on to the sweet sixteen. I still believe we have the talent to beat anyone in the tournament. If we make it to the sweet sixteen will be great anything beyond that is an unbelievable season. Go Lady Vols!!!!

The answer to your question depends on which LVs team shows up. The answer is 50-50 mif the 7 losses LVs show up. The answer is 70-30 in favor of the Lady Vols if the 17 wins LVs show up.

This is so typical. Fans love to say stuff like this. Truth is that when a fan’s favorite team loses, their knee jerk first reaction is to blame their own team for “not showing up” or “being off their game”. The reality is that when a good team plays under it’s potential or god forbid, lousy, the other team almost always forced that upon them. It’s not always about the games won or lost either, a team can play great in defeat or lousy in a win.

UT should win this game “if” the coaches employ the correct strategy. Mich needs UT to not pack the paint in order to have any shot.

Is that assessment really any different from the statement you dismissed? Fans always say this, if the favored team loses, it is because the coach used the wrong strategy. Maybe the coaches implement the "correct strategy" but still lose because the other team could overcome the strategy or had a better counter strategy.

Call me crazy but I am thinking this game really will come down to the score. If we can score more points than Michigan when the final buzzer sounds, I feel pretty good about our chances.

You're one wild and crazy guy. Obviously the concept is too complex for the average chicken.

I’d like to see our posts establish themselves as forces for Michigan to respect! Forget hot dog passes, eschew turnovers, and play the game! Focus, follow through, make those layups, and all the free throws!
I like the cut of your jib, there. You left out run, run, run!
