👆Facts. Tennessee has by far the better resume. In the first round, Tennessee looked better against their opponent than Ohio State. Yes, basketball is a game of matchups. Tennessee matches up well against Ohio State.
A lot of factors more so than with other teams impact Tennessee performance game to game. 5 in - 5 out substitution style, starting lineup changes game to game, style of play, etc.
The talent is equal. I have seen many people outside of this forum picking Tennessee to win this game, so this wouldn’t be an upset.
Every possession will matter.
Adjustments will need to be made in a win or go home game.
It’s time to lock in!
GBO.

I haven't saw OSU play. For those that have in your opinion which SEC schools play style and player profile do they mirror the most?

They're very similar to us in terms of press, steals, pace, and shooting %s. Pretty similar to Vanderbilt in those respects, too, though I don't think Vandy presses as much. They don't put up nearly as many 3s and they are not a particularly good rebounding team, but their FG% defense is better and they have a low turnover rate.

I'm struggling to think of any SEC teams with similar player profiles. I guess Cotie McMahon is similar to Sahara Williams or Skylar Vann at Oklahoma, but McMahon's 3-point shooting has really improved this year. Maybe Jaloni Cambridge is similar to Liv McGill at Florida? Their numbers are very similar, but I haven't watched Florida outside of the game they played against us.

You weren’t asking me, but the reason I’m nervous is the same reason I’m nervous EVERY season for the NCAAT. I spend the entire time from the previous season’s final game anxiously waiting for the next season. Then I’m excited for the news of how pre-season practices are going., And then I’m beside myself when the first exhibition game day arrives. Then the exciting out-of-conference portion of the schedule gives me hope for post-season. And then the SEC slate gives me hope and fear AND sadness that another season is quickly passing. By the time the NCAAT gets here there are SOOOO many hopes and dreams and memories and emotions that can, and all but only 8 times ever for me, end brutally abruptly. It’s the looming fear of the anti-climactic ending after a full year of anticipation that makes me nervous. I hate it that I feel that way and wish I didn’t,

My point is we weren't projected to win this game anyways so if we win, it is technically an upset.

My point is that the pressure is on them, not us. We aren't a 1 or 2 seed. We weren't projected to make a Final Four. First year coach in a season where we are trying to establish our culture.

The LVs not getting to the S16 will always be a problem. We fell down to a 5 seed owing to an end of season fade but the now rested LVs are supposed to be back to their early and mid season level of play.

It is not about "pressure" but standards. The LVs not making the S16 would be substandard (and it has been a long while since the reasonable expectation was the F4; White did not make a coaching change to lower expectations, did he? ).

If the LVs don't win, sure the sun will come up tomorrow but such a loss would be a very disappointing end to the season, particularly after the high of the Uconn win.

But, if the LVs can shoot a decent % and not give up too many easy buckets on broken press plays, they should be able to win and advance.

And they’re not getting one today.
If they share the ball like South Florida.
Good chance
If they go back to I get my points
Maybe not.
Ohio state pressure some last game.
You know what they said pressure teams don't like to be press.
Hope for a fair official called game.
No injury's for volunteers or buckeyes

Disagree, respectfully. My preseason definition of success for this season was keeping the NCAAT streak going. Beyond that it's house money for me.

Year 2 is the same; we'll be very young.

Year 3 and beyond should be Sweet 16 every year and fighting for championships.
