NCAA Tourney question

I thought the team that beat us that year was Iowa State instead of Ball State? I haven't went back to check but that was the team I thought put us out in 2008. I know Iowa State did beat us in the tourney one year but don't remember for sure if it was in the NCAA tourney in 2008.

Edit: You're right. It was Ball State in 2008. Now, I'm curious as to when it was that Iowa State put us out.

It was 2009 that Ball State won. (2008-09 season).

The LV's lost to Iowa (not Iowa State) in the 1993 regional finals in Iowa City. That was the year women's basketball was introduced to Sheryl Swoopes.

There are 32 teams that will win a first round game which means there will be 32 losers. I think the LV's fit the bill nicely for the latter.

If the LV lose to Bama...Holly should be left at the airport....UGA actually turned a corner and has gotten better as the season has gone on Bama is terrible but of course LSU was terrible and see how that turned out

We might end up as low as a #10 or even #11 seed to be honest. We lose to Georgia we're definitely down to a #10. One thing we could do though is gain a few seeds back in the SEC tourney by winning a couple of games.

That's probably not likely at this point but it could happen. If we could win 2 SEC tourney games then we might get back to a #8 seed. To get any higher seeding in the NCAA tourney we would have to win the SEC tourney now.

Regardless if we're a #6,#7,#8, or worse seed, I don't think we make it out of the 1st round anyhow. What makes you think we can even do that from what you've seen from this team? I have absolutely no confidence in them at all.

I don't care who they draw in the 1st round either. It's going to be a solid team so I don't see it happening unless Candace Parker makes a quick comeback to Knoxville & Pat goes back in age to coach us.

I just want the NCAA tourney streak to continue. Everybody knows we're probably not going to do anything but still it's the tradition for this program to make the NCAA tourney regardless of our record/results. The team can rest when the darn NCAA tourney is over for them.

There's a pretty long off-season you know for plenty of rest. A new coaching staff I don't know what the heck we're gonna do about that. Hopefully a change but it's certainly not guaranteed.
